I found something at a kiosk at O'Hare airport today that may have been a mistake to find.
Right now, sitting in front of me are 2 chocolate bars. Mo's Darb bar, which contains dark chocolate, smoked backon and smoked salt. Second bar is a Black Salt Caramel Bar, which has black Hawaiian sea salt, burnt sugar caramel and dark chocolate.
There is a website....www.vosgeschocolate.com (which I did not need to know).
$8 each for 3 oz of chocolate. Better be worth it!

I've tried some of their stuff. Some I love, some I would never touch again.
I gotta say, though, never seen either of the ones you mentioned. My Whole Paycheck carries the brand; I'll check and see if they have those two. They sound awesome.

As I was walking out of the kiosk, I saw a 'sampler' which I kind of wish I had picked up instead.
However, bacon and dark chocolate MUST be good!

Tell us how the bacon one is. $8 is too pricey for me. I just bought two Lindt chocolate bars at Walgreens with a coupon, 2 bars for $3. One is 70% Cocoa nut crunch with carmelized walnuts and hazelnuts. I hope its good. ;D

I decided to try some of the Lindt 70% Cocoa Nut Crunch bar for ... research ... in case I should get more before the sale ends on Saturday... Its good, probably not as good as a good Vosges bar but the price is right and its 3.5oz!

When I was in Rome I saw some Pringles at the airport I wanted to try--they were some kind of greek cheese that I've never seen in the states. At the equivalent of about $8 I couldn't bring myself to do it, I'd already done quite a bit of splurging on the trip.

Actually, the bacon and dark chocolate was really, REALLY good. The saltiness of the bacon is about on par with the saltiness that you get when you put nuts into chocolate.

Thanks for the review, Mich...I am rebuilding my chocolate website, and I will get these two and include them in my reviews.

Thanks for the review Mich. I've seen good reviews on the web for that bacon bar and it appears to be popular. Maybe someday somewhere near me will carry it and put it on sale.

I've never heard of a bacon/chocolate bar, but I know a couple years back they debuted chocolate covered bacon at our state fair. I've never tried it, but the more I think about it, the more tempting it sounds. Maybe this year...

The gods could have sent you a better price. $8 for 3 ounces, better not get a craving for that stuff Mich or you are going to go broke.

Careful TD, after I dumped my bf I figured out chocolate was a lot cheaper than keeping him.

Luckily, I'm not likely to be near that kiosk at O'Hare! I will NOT order online either.
However, I may be in trouble if Fresh Market starts carrying it.
