And I mean the kind with wings! Lately a couple of geese have taken up residence in the condominium complex I live in. And one of them has decided that my balcony table is a perfect perch to keep track of everything - throw in some occasional fights when the other goose wants to sit there. I have tried to chase them away with noise and movements but that hasn't worked. This morning I noticed that my table was also used as a toilet!!! So, does anyone know of a method to get rid of these pests??? I am sooooo of them

Apologies in the beginning if I got you mixed up with the real wife!

Get a plastic decoy bird (owls work best) and place it on the table. The geese (and their mess) will stay off, and you can remove the decoy when using the table.

Joss, they are a protected species. Careful how you "chase" them. Try moving the table inside for a while.

The only effective way of waterfowl removal I'm aware of is a rather large dog, who can run very fast, that likes to eat birds. Unfortunately she went to puppy heaven in 2002.
She also effectively removed rabbits, bats, songbirds, muskrats, squirrels, moles and mice.... and one hoodie
The make little zapper pads for training cats not to stand on tables/counters. They don't hurt, just make it uncomfortable to stand on them, perhaps this could work

Trust me it works. Keeps seagulls out of pools at the beach. Keeps herons from eating my mom's fish at her pond. It's the shiney-ness of the line that makes them stay away.

I dunno. What eats geese? An alligator, maybe? Get one of those.

Trust me, the owl decoy works. We placed one on the railing of our deck, and the geese wouldn't come anywhere near it.

Have Gilbert Godfried come sit on your porch and tell jokes about Japan.
That will keep just about anything away.

There are a pair of swallows which come back each year to build a nest above Mom's front door. I read something recently that putting a mirror on the wall there will keep the swallows away - they movement startles them, or they think it's a competing bird. Maybe something like that would work on your patio?

Those eggs sound like a source of food to me. Geese are very messy and mean.
A fake snake might work. I found one that blows up but I don't know what I did with it. I don't need it to scare anything away.

A fake owl or rubber snake would probably work, especially if you reposition them every day. I don't know if geese will respond to those ultrasonic pest deterrents or not.

Nope. I went to a zoo where the hippos were in a temporary pen (Similar to the typical polar bear pen). The water tank was clear plexi-glass. I was traumatized by that experience.
