Rough PTSD? Any counseling help? No, not PTSD, no identifiable cause. He just dreams he's out somewhere and someone attacks him and he starts swinging and kicking. As he's profoundly hard of hearing, it's very hard to wake him up while trying to get away. It's only happened a couple of times but it's scary as shit. And he really doesn't believe me when I tell him what he did and gets angry, saying it's not his fault if it did occur. Which is true, but that doesn't lessen my terror or make the bruises any less painful. I'm so sorry! That sounds scary as hell! I get sleep paralysis and experience exploding head syndrome but I haven't beat up my partner. Yet. Because when I'm trapped in a nighttime hallucination and he's sleeping through my begging for help... I hope you get some relief at some point.

No sleep divorce in this marriage. DH did have rather severe apnea and snoring for some years in the middle there. He got a CPAP. Now that seems to have ended. He has lost a lot of weight, about 30 lbs, with Ozempic, so that may account for it. Through it all I was able to sleep well enough. I did in years past get up myself with a sustained migraine that came back. When one of those strikes I get up and move to the sofa. That's ended, too. Now on the rare occasions I get a migraine I use one of these: Migraine treatment. It ends it entirely. My first marriage was another story. Divorce there in all senses was necessary.

Then once I woke up to him standing upright in bed stomping all over screaming about fire ants. Then he laid back down and started snoring. I contemplated murdering him. Him and the girls all talk in their sleep. I've had arguments with DH numerous times before figuring out he was asleep. Gwen sleep walks. She slept walk into our room, sat down on our bed and started talking. DH was also asleep and started talking back! I was lying there wondering WTF was going on. We are sleep divorced. DH prefers to sleep with me but I get so much better sleep when I am not next to someone who snores, talks, sleep walks and occassionaly punches.

It lives in the freezer, but I snagged another on prime day to use heated.

ISO and I never got sleep married. I was single 5 years before we got together and I am not giving up any of my closet space! I also sleep with the tv on, the dogs sleep with me and my home office is in my bedroom. He got his own room from the get go.
