that my office gets enough natural light that I do not need the overhead light on. (Though I do wish that DH would get going on installing the ceiling fan. I could do it myself, but he wants to replace the insert first.)
I am also thankful that DH left the house to run some errands - it is the first time that he has been away from the house since Sunday. So I am enjoying the quiet.
With the run of bad stuff that seems to be running rampant lately, I am trying to focus on what is good. What is one thing, big or small, that you are thankful or grateful for?

Mostly that bedroom A/C unit. It doesn't cool the whole house but at least it cools the bedroom. Without it, I'd be typing this from the library or cursing the dying florescent bulbs in the basement.
The mess of blackberry bushes outside the house are ripening faster than I can pick them. There's no way that I'm going out in the full sun now, but if I get up early enough tomorrow, I can feast on fresh blackberries in half and half.

Thankful that today has the most comfortable weather we've had all Summer. We're currently in the low 70's, with a cool breeze. Lovin' it!

I am grateful that we are getting an incredibly long and heavy rain, and that I am able to be safely at home when so many must commute on dangerous roads

After going without one of my meds for several days, I am thankful to have found it in stock yesterday, even if it's at a lower dosage. Something is better than nothing.
I'm also thankful that the new tenant living below me, on the first floor, was given a 3 day notice to stop playing his drums, for hours on end. (His 7yr old son is taking lessons. You can imagine.)

Having a warm dry house and not having to live in a tent in this miserablely cold and wet weather!
It's been really foggy most of this summer.

My first thought was I am thankful that today is Friday.
I talked to DB earlier today, my second though was I am thankful for my Siblings and that we have a good relationship.

Today I am thankful that I have a DH, who isn't afraid to show his affection and love for me when out with friend. It is usually over the top for me, but appreciated.

My H. and I played 9 holes of golf with our DS. It was fun. A beautiful day.
I had half off coupons that can't be used on weekends before 1:00 p.m. But all is good. We now have golfnow which is a phone app to get less expensive green fees.

That I’m still able to spend time with my Dad. We had a good visit this afternoon.
Also thankful that even though there is a thunderstorm over our heads, my dogs are just upset that I won’t share my Cheezies.

Little momma jr is starting to get a little chunky despite wrestling everyday with her son. We lost her grandma to bladder cancer and being fixed and overweight are two of the risk factors

DH planted seeds in the garden, but most of them didn't come up. Stuff happened, and he ignored it after a while (weeds went crazy, though). Today he was considering just mowing down the weeds, when he noticed volunteer tomato plants where he'd planted tomatoes last year - at least a half dozen plants.
So I'm thankful he noticed the tomatoes before he mowed, and that there's something useful growing in the garden this year.

I don't even bother with tomatoes from the store anymore.

A friend invited a group to his farm. Burgers and pot luck. What an adventure! He has a no till garden using just hand tools to plant. He has a bed of earth worms and uses worm juice from the worm bed to put a drop in with each seed. He has a burm with select plants that attract good beetles that eat bad beetles on his crops. Parts of the garden looks snarled but he said it keeps weeds down because they can't get sun. He has also research various seeds for the best variety. Astonishing for fellow gardeners for the various place's he orders from.
His Mrs. said there was a tour of some agricultural group this past weekend so everything was all perfect for us. I am thankful for his growing organic crops that he shares with us. I am grateful for the family wedding in a beautiful setting followed by a music festival was blessed with no injuries or accidents.

Today I am thankful for large veins that make it easy for the lab to draw blood-many are not as fortunate. And for it being under 100 degrees; sounds silly but 99 is better than 101 for sure.
And I'm thankful for this thread which helps me focus on the positives
