Checking in! I kept getting those reminder emails, so I thought I would drop in and say hi. How's everyone doing? I just noticed, it's been over 10 years since I paid off my CC debt! Wow. Time flies. Still debt free and loving in.
Hope everyone is staying healthy!
I think I am gonna stick around for a while now...

Hi.
I was debt free too, until I bought a car.

ohhhhhhh Dave Ramsey would be maaaaaaaaaadddddddd Meh. Dave Ramsey can sit and spin. LOL. I have the cash but I'm saving it for some renovations. And the interest rate is 2.9%. Theoretically, my investments should be doing better.

Good to hear from you RoadToRiches! I paid off my debt back in 2011, and I'm NOT going back. So, what's new in your world?

Hi there!!! So good to hear from you!!! I hope that everything is going well for you! PS We still owe 27.5K on the renovation for our rental. I'm OK with that.

Glad to see "old timers" still here. What's new? Well.. everything and nothing really. I posted last time when I bought my Harley. Still have it. I love it. I took a trip from Ohio to NC. It was AWESOME! So much different than driving. My buddy that lives there rented his HD and we went riding on Blueride Parkway. Made it to the top of Mount Mitchell. I was one of the best times! I enrolled in MBA program. This is something that I always wanted to accomplish. At 46 years old, I think it will still benefit me in my career. My goal is to reach C level in a decade, hopefully at the company that I work for now. I love it here. Speaking of work, I got a promotion to senior level leadership! My wings spread a little bit in the organization and I now lead three different groups across two different companies (ours and one we acquired). It's been awesome so far! I can't wait to start the MBA (Jan 6th)! I am really looking forward to pick some things from it and hang that diploma on my wall in the office! Health-wise, everything is good. I am amazed that either me or my wife didn't catch Covid. (at least that we know). Ever since my company decided to become fully remote about 2 years ago, I started to concentrate more on my health. I lost 30lbs and really dialed in my diet and health habits. Working out every day at lunch, eating healthy... I freaking LOVE working from home. I will never go back to the office. I still have the condo from my bachelor days. I rent it out. I have fantastic tenants for past 3 years. I don't make much profits, if any, after I count the stuff I fix (new garage door, fridge, AC), but the mortgage is getting paid and I am building equity. That is where my head is at with it right now. I am not sure what I am going to do, if I keep it or sell it. It was good time to sell it few months ago. Gessshh with house prices, I could really make some profit. But I am leaning on looking more long term. I have to say, being debt free (well, CC debt free) is so liberating. Granted, making more money helps, but the idea that I don't have a payment looking at me every month is great. There was time where my monthly CC expense was up there and I was freaking out that I will pay interest. I use one card for everything, Costco Visa... utilities, groceries, gas, everything I can think of. At the end of the month, I pay it off. It's usually around $1500. But one time it was little more Luckily, I pulled money from savings to pay it. I am on a mission to never ever pay cc interest. It's like when a person doesn't have any food when they are little, and they grow up and they will never waste any food lol... it's that mentality for me. I think I scared myself for life, in a good way. My money situation is good. It could be better. Sometimes I feel I should have little more, but I am working on it. I put 12% into 401k, I have about 4 months expenses saved, and a budget spreadsheet that I follow since I started my debt payoff journey. I could not imagine living without my Excel spreadsheet lol. My credit is best it's ever been at 830. I do think I have little too much available credit between all of the credit cards (270k) but they just keep upping my limit. I really don't care and it's fine with me. I am in no way going to blow it on anything. So there it is. My update lol...same crap, different day. Just trying to be better every day.
