I know I should keep politics out of here. Trump is selling bibles. I do believe I have seen everything now. And I also learned google tells me 63% of the folks in the US are Christians. I'm surprised that number is that high. Did you see the infomercial? "Make America pray again." Says the three times married man found liable for SA that's up on 91 felony charges. I just can't.

I'm surprised that number is that high.I'd be willing to bet that number includes all those folks that don't go except Easter and Christmas, if even that. plus lapsed <whatever flavor> and all those Roman Catholics the highly evangelical love to hate on. Is it weird that I represent all of that. I'm Catholic and only go to church for weddings and funerals. I don't go for Christmas or East.

We’re down in FL, nowhere near Baltimore thankfully. Yikes! Doing our best impression of a cut rate HGTV show. Threw away a crapload of things, mostly expired cans, hustled to paint over the yellow in the kitchen before we replaced the fridge and stove. Meanwhile DS demanded we replace a toilet which turned out to involve also replacing the vinyl tile in that bathroom-which, like the rest of the bathrooms, had a violently pink floral theme. Still have to figure out the removal of the metallic floral wallpaper which also covers the ceilings, and paint two of the doors…which are bright pink, of course. Renting a carpet steam cleaner is also high on the list. We‘ve been in town less than 48 hours. Been to Lowes at least five times, Walmart at least four. But, I am deeply happy the old fridge is gone and pleased with my shiny new and hopefully non-leaky new one. I know everyone is jealous of our vacation How did you get hijacked into doing a remodeling project? If I was in Florida right now, I'd be doing something totally different, like hanging out on a beach. The short answer is, it’s now my condo The slightly longer answer is, sorry it took me a while to reply…we were on the beach, out to dinner, at the swimming pool and planning an outing to Legoland tomorrow

Don't know why it took me so long but I have discovered men's small suit shirts. I bought a small for a project I wanted to do because I like the pink color of it. It is way more flattering to my figure and I prefer the length compared to even a women's large. It's also made better and it's actual freaking cotton instead of whatever women's blouses are made of nowadays.
WHY did it take me so long to have this epiphany?! I need to troll the men's side of the thrift store more often and look into how much American Eagle is retail.

Just give me the dates and I'll be there! Yay! I'll cook this time instead of making chiver do it all. I don't mind.... also, Malarky helped when she thought I was taking too long lol.. but yes, I'm up for all of the shenanigans again

Useless information for you all: Caitlin Clark is a Mayflower Descendant. No, I didn't figure it out but one of the genealogy societies I belong to did.

We hit up Whataburger for a breakfast taco before sprinting thru Aldi for groceries. It's a good thing I don't have a big freezer because they had leg of lamb, lamb shoulder, lamb chops, and ground lamb. I just got 1 lb of the ground lamb to make more grape leaves, but I wanted it ALL. Also got a bunch of Patak Indian vegetarian meals like chickpea and veggie korma. 90 second in the microwave and they are delicious!

I was driving out of state on a toll road that accepts my in-state toll road transponder. I have my account set up to automatically replenish when the available balance drops below $10. While driving, I got a text from my state's tollroad authority saying that I had a balance due of $12.20 that I needed to pay immediately or risk a $50 late fee. It made me wonder what would happen at the toll booths I expected to encounter during the rest of that day, but my transponder kept allowing me to continue. Obviously I couldn't get to it right away, and when I arrived at my destination I was too busy to check. Yesterday I went online to my account with the tollway authority. It showed I had auto-replenished my account the day I was driving, and my account didn't have any unpaid charges. So I went back to my text messages and clicked on the link to see WTH they were talking about. It asked for my phone number and birthdate. Hmm. I went back to the legit website and checked the info in my account and I never had to give them a birthdate. So, obviously a scammer. It looked legit, no typos or awkward phrasing, and had my tollroad authority's logo on it. They never stop trying, do they? But I reserve the right to whine here if I ever get hit with a $50 late fee. Was it NY? DH and I got the same one. I knew it was a scam because the EZ Pass is in his name.

Trying to make an appointment to see if surgery will fix my eyesight. I'm spending $1,000 a year on special light weight lenses and contacts. If it can get close enough that I can at least go straight contacts I'd be happy. Super bad astigmatism here (in both eyes).

We're at an RV park on the Pacific coast. The wind, starting around midnight and since, has been strong enough that it's rocking the trailer.

OAN, Mister seems to be a little irritated because he has to pick up dinner on his way home from work. When I called him earlier, he was busy and I told him to just call me before he leaves work. He didn’t do that. I am responsible for dinner on Tuesdays, and this morning I planned to order dinner for this evening, instead of cooking. Yes, I wanted him to pick it up, instead of having it delivered. The timing got off because he didn’t call me when he was leaving work, like I’d asked him to. I appreciate that he usually answers his phone for me while he’s at work, even if he is busy or in a meeting or whatever, so my first question when he doesn’t sound right, is “are you busy”. If he says yes and I’m not calling about an emergency, I tell him to just call me back and let him get back to work. It’s not my fault that he didn’t call me back like I asked him to. Which he usually does, so I’m not fussing about that. But I made arrangements for dinner, and paid for it, all I asked of him was to pick it up on his way home, from a place less than 5 minutes from our house. I am burnt out on cooking. I am also burnt out on a lot of the food we normally eat. I’m sick of chicken, I’m sick of salmon, I’m sick of salads and club sandwiches. I have been having a hard time lately even trying to think of anything that sounds appetizing to me, whether I cook it at home or buy it from a restaurant, because I am over all of it. Dinner tonight is brisket and sides from a BBQ restaurant. We don’t eat much brisket, because neither of us knows how to grill it properly. Mister is in charge of dinners on Wednesdays, so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with tomorrow since we are both tired of everything. Well, there it is! I have solved all of your problems! No one grills a brisket! They have to be smoked for like 15 hours.

She was very offended that they thought that he'd be allowed to enter her bedroom.

They were spinning stories on Fox News as soon as business hours started. This is why I don't watch fox. There is an affiliate in Baltimore. I watch the 3 real networks there instead. I've been over that bridge many times and under it by boat. Baltimore is the biggest port on the East coast for new car/truck deliveries. Also a Royal Caribbean cruise ship left Saturday and now will return to Norfolk Va and bus everyone back to Baltimore. Three lines operate out of Baltimore.

I got sucked into a Facebook post on a Fox news story about how they expect shortages due to the bridge blocking the port. IMMEDIATELY they all went to the Biden administration and how this is all part of the grand plan to drive up prices and this is somehow tied to it being an election year and yadda yadda.

No, I was using my Illinois transponder in Florida. There was a very remote chance it was a legit request because I drove around Orlando last month and they have some roads there that use E-Pass. I don't know if E-Pass accepts my Illinois tollroad pass, but if they didn't, how would they match up my license plate with my cell phone number?

It is really sunny out today and looks so nice, wrong. It is cold out there 46, brrrr.
I am thawing out an arm roast, going to cook it with potatoes and carrots. But DD and I may eat some of it or go out for dinner. Hubs is going to a political dinner for workers at the election. I am invited too but I don't want to go. We can have the roast later and than make veggie soup.
Hubs is having fatigue. He took a nap today, then went out and picked up some limbs. He is now watching telly so in for the day. I'm just happy he is not experiencing a lot more symptoms than he is. This is getting him badly enough.
DD went to the city with her behavior therapist today for a bit of shopping and lunch so she is a happy camper.
Son's flowers are bloomed out and I added some to the bunch. The florist didn't send anything but stems of sunflowers. I know they are expensive and they are skipping on them anymore. But they are very pretty.
I cleaned some more items out to go. But I have slowed way down today, I took a nap too.
I keep saying I need to keep busy and I do, should be daily, not do some then quit. Never will get this stuff thinned out.
We are all in a good mood today and pretty happy, looking forward to warm weather.
Hubs is wanting DD and I to get ready to go to Washington for about a month. I hate to leave before we find out his PSA this time. His last treatment is the 17th of April and he has labs the 15th of May. He meets with his doctor on the 22nd of May. I can get the info from the patient portal but I hate to be gone. We do this to divide up taking care of the cats, its so expensive to board them, that is why we don't go together. He would honestly like for me to get rid of them, I just can't do that. He said he will go up with the boat after I get home. We are also hoping he is less fatigued then, so there is another reason. I would not have gotten them if I thought we were going to travel like this as we never went anywhere. And its just not right to get rid of animals once you get them, they are a part of the family. We will work around the babies. We will both move eventually anyway, so it will work out.

Had the daily special Bento Boxes at lunch today - grilled mackerel collar, some type of fried fish, carrot & daikon slaw, lettuce and cucumber salad, teriyaki chicken, 2 pieces of a salmon roll, steamed rice with black sesame seeds, and miso soup. So good - I think of miso soup as the Asian equivalent of chicken noodle soup, it's good for what ails you.
I was going to scrub off the deck furniture but it's low 50's and cloudy so I'm skipping that today. Ran a load of laundry instead, did some basic bookkeeping in Quicken.

Men's clothes have always been better made. I used to buy men's Lands End sweaters and other brands because they are nicer. Doesn't seem right does it. Lately, I'm not so sure theirs are like they used to be. Many are now also poorly made. It's mainly the cheap crappy fabric, its awful.

Oh dear. The conspiracy theory people are already at it on why the Francis Scott Key bridge was the one that went down. I can't even... I was kind of blaming myself, since I booked a cruise out of Baltimore Harbor just last week. Kind of like how Russia invaded Ukraine right after I booked a trip to Poland.
