As if the recent legislature wasn't "out there" enough, now there are educators telling teachers they should balance books discussing the Holocaust with others with opposing views! I'm seriously just disgusted with people more often than I'm not. I mean.... what aspect of the Holocaust was anything other than evil and wrong?

I’m still trying to figure out what the opposite view on the Holocaust is. Killing Jews is good? We should have more barbaric medical studies on disabled people and twins?

Gee Zuz H! Once again a reveal of American insanity. Will we ever be able to recover from these psychoses?

I agree with the sentiment of Moonbeam as well as the responses posted here.
I read the article.......... It is about School officials and the teachers in the classroom discussing how they have to deal with a Texas law without running afoul of lawmakers. I am not sure anyone advocated it in this discussion because they are anti Holocaust believers, as that was not mentioned. Using the Holocaust as the topic to discuss these unintended consequences is probably not the correct one, but insert LBGQT topics of what is right or wrong results in the same messed up discussion. Like so many state and federal laws, many laws have unintended consequences for the citizens. Again, I am not making excuses here, just an observation and no way am I suggesting the LBGQT topic is the same as the Holocaust. The law of unintended consequences is the problem. Thanks

There's a lot more to the garbage coming out of Southlake, TX than just this one particular report. I suggest scrolling down to the two articles about a racist video that went viral through town, the diversity plan that came from it, and the aftermath as the vocal minority pushed back hard on it. if podcasts are your thing, all the links are there as well. I've just been reading what I can find, and it's not painting a very flattering picture of much of the town. link

Maybe the opposite is "Nazis are good"? I can already hear my Dad spinning in his grave, as he spent 4 years of his life serving in the Navy during WWII, to try & defend the USA from the Nazis & their version of the "truth". Our country is a mess right now.

Our country is a mess right now. IDK. I'm still stuck on the teacher getting a reprimand for having an anti-racism book in her classroom because apparently the parent wanted a pro-racism one there as well? I would not want to be a TX teacher given this law.
