Apparently, trump has now been convicted of criminal contempt of court by the judge. The $9,000 is the fine for the criminal contempt of court conviction. First time a president, past or present, has been convicted of a crime. His cult won't care. Trump will just whine about it and use it as a fundraising opportunity. Idiots will send him much more than that minor fine.

BOROWITZ REPORT Trump's Trial Ends Abruptly After He Makes Full Confession in His SleepMAY 01, 2024 In a twist that surprised even the most hardened trial watchers, Donald J. Trump’s hush money trial came to a sudden conclusion on Wednesday after the defendant issued a full confession while soundly asleep. Trump, who had been snoring vigorously all morning, began mumbling shortly after 10 a.m. despite Judge Juan M. Merchan’s admonishment that he quiet down. His eyes still closed, the indicted businessman blurted, “I had sexual relationships with Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, then orchestrated an elaborate hush money conspiracy to corrupt the 2016 election.” The courtroom was dumbfounded to hear Trump issue not only a complete confession but also a complete sentence, witnesses said. As Trump’s head bobbed forward and he resumed snoring, his lawyers gathered their papers with an air of resignation and quietly filed out of the courtroom. His lead attorney, Todd Blanche, was philosophical about the trial ending so prematurely, telling reporters, “We probably weren’t going to get paid anyway.” Trump's Trial Ends Abruptly After He Makes Full Confession in His Sleep

His cult is not the audience. It is undecideds/unafilliated/republicans who are not in the cult who need to be persuaded that Trump is a menace. His cult is never going to go against him

Trump recently refused to stipulate to some normal stuff like whether or not a transcript (that he has already reviewed) is a transcript of a former proceeding. So instead of just admitting it, the prosecution has to call in people from the transcription company to authenticate it. And then he bitches that the trial is taking too long. And, of course he's now bitching about his lawyers. They aren't aggressive enough, they won't do what trump tells them to do, and they're too expensive. I'm shocked. He’s bitching that the courtroom is too cold, implying that’s part of some deep state plot against him. They re probably hoping to try to keep him awake.

Old buildings are either hot or cold. There is no happy medium. I work in one. It's a beautiful historic building that is either a meat locker or a sauna.

Trump keeps insisting all these ‘women’ are lying about him - he never had sex with any of them, nothing ever happened.
He also keeps insisting that he will testify. Trump talks trash about his own lawyer, so I doubt he will listen to anything the lawyer says. Trump also believes he is smarter than everyone else in the room, and he will be able to convince the jury to see things his way.
I really, really hope Trump does get to testify. He is not the smartest person in the room. I would love the prosecutor to skin his hide and display it on a pike in front of the courthouse.
Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Jimmy Kimmel's opening last night. Among aother things he addresses his show being mentioned yesterday in trump's trial case. Kimmel also has a clip of Stormy Daniels on his show in 2018. Stormy's appearance on Kimmel's 2018 show is around the 2:20 miniute mark.

These pocket change fines for trump don't seem to be impressing him. Maybe a weekend at Rikers would. Judge warns Trump of jail time after finding him in contempt for gag order violation
NEW YORK — Former President Trump’s hush money judge found he violated a gag order a 10th time, giving Trump his sternest warning yet that future violations could carry jail time. Judge Juan Merchan on Monday ordered Trump to pay $1,000 for attacking jurors in his historic criminal trial, just days after the judge ruled on an earlier set of gag order violations. “Defendant is hereby put on notice that if appropriate and warranted, future violations of its lawful orders will be punishable by incarceration,” Merchan wrote. But the judge handed Trump a partial win, ruling that prosecutors had not proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump violated his gag order in three other statements. Putting him in solitary confinement would be best to protect him.

"Under federal law, the United States Secret Service must provide protection for current government leaders, former Presidents and First Ladies, visiting heads of state and other individuals designated by the President of the United States," the agency said in a statement. "For all settings around the world, we study locations and develop comprehensive and layered protective models that incorporate state of the art technology, protective intelligence and advanced security tactics to safeguard our protectees. Beyond that, we do not comment on specific protective operations." www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/US/secret-services-prepares-potential-trump-contempt-order-hush/story%3fid=109542824

incidentally, this argument they keep bringing up about how great things were under Trump? here is the inflation rate that Trump had, compared to his predecessor:
Trump 2017 - 2021 1.9% Obama 2009 - 2017 1.4%

Putting him in solitary confinement would be best to protect him. Florence Colorado. The SS does need to protect him as required by law but this location is already quite secure. And, since this is a federal prison, we can either reduce the number of SS agents assigned to his protection, reduce the number of prison guards, or a combination thereof. Either way - saving tax payer money. This should be extremely acceptable to all the "reduce government spending" MAGIDIOTS as they will get what they want. Surely those snowflakes can't want more than that?

Hmmmm. Trump was given the day off trial for Barron’s graduation. Now he’s headlining a Republican fundraiserDonald Trump is now planning to headline a political fundraiser on the day he demanded a break in his hush money trial so that he could attend his youngest son Barron’s high school graduation. On Monday, the Minnesota Republican Party announced that the former president will headline its annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner event on 17 May. “We are thrilled to welcome President Trump back to Minnesota,” state GOP chairman David Hann said in a statement. “I can think of no one more fitting to join us this year than President Trump.” The fundraiser will be held in Saint Paul, Minnesota, a roughly three hour and 45 minute flight from West Palm Beach, Florida, where Barron’s graduation ceremony will take place. The high school event starts from 10am ET. It is not clear what time the Republican fundraiser gets under way. However, Mr Trump’s busy schedule that day comes after he falsely claimed the judge in his hush money trial wouldn’t give him a day off to attend his son’s graduation from Oxbridge Academy. At the start of the trial in April, Mr Trump’s legal team asked the judge to allow the criminal defendant the day off. Judge Juan Merchan told Mr Trump he was not going to make a decision until the trial was underway, saying that he would not be able to grant the request if the trial was running behind schedule. Rest of article here: Trump was given the day off trial for Barron’s graduation. Now he’s headlining a Republican fundraiser

Judge in Trump’s classified documents case cancels May trial date; no new date setWASHINGTON (AP) — The federal judge in Florida presiding over the classified documents prosecution of former President Donald Trump has canceled the May 20 trial date, postponing it indefinitely. The order from U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon had been expected in light of still-unresolved issues in the case and because Trump is currently on trial in a separate case in Manhattan charging him in connection with hush money payments during the 2016 presidential election. The New York case involves several of the same lawyers representing him in the federal case in Florida. Cannon said in a five-page order Tuesday that it would be “imprudent” to finalize a new trial date now, casting further doubt on federal prosecutors’ ability to bring Trump to trial before the November presidential election. Trump faces dozens of felony counts accusing him of illegally hoarding at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida classified documents that he took with him after he left the White House in 2021, and then obstructing the FBI’s efforts to get them back. He has pleaded not guilty and denied wrongdoing. Trump faces four criminal cases as he seeks to reclaim the White House, but outside of the New York prosecution, it’s not clear that any of the other three will reach trial before the election. Judge in Trump’s classified documents case cancels May trial date; no new date set
