Ready, Set, Go, Monday. Full jury of 12 people and 6 alternates is seated in Trump’s hush money trial in New YorkNEW YORK (AP) — A full jury of 12 people and six alternates was seated Friday in Donald Trump’s hush money case, drawing the first criminal trial of a former U.S. president a step closer to opening statements. Lawyers spent days quizzing dozens of New Yorkers to choose the panel that has vowed to put their personal views aside and impartially judge whether the presumptive Republican presidential nominee is guilty or not. The jury includes a sales professional, a software engineer, an English teacher and multiple lawyers. THE BOROWITZ REPORT
Poll: Majority of Americans Prefer Sleeping Trump to Conscious VersionNEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—In a development that an aide to the presumptive GOP nominee called “the best news this campaign has gotten in quite some time,” a new poll shows that a majority of likely voters “vastly prefer” Donald J. Trump when he is asleep to when he is awake. According to the survey, conducted by the Opinion Research Institute at the University of Minnesota, the conscious version of Trump garners a lowly 41 percent approval rating, in marked contrast with the unconscious version’s 98 percent. When asked to state what they liked most about the slumbering Trump, 72 percent checked “Cannot say anything,” while a whopping 83 percent ticked “Can do no harm.” Carol Foyler, a top Trump campaign aide, said that the numbers suggest “we have to do a better job of getting the message out that Donald Trump is asleep most if not all of the day.” “We need to showcase Mr. Trump at campaign events where he looks heavy-lidded and, ideally, snores,” she said. “If, during a debate with Biden, he were to suddenly doze off and face-plant on the podium, that would be huge for us.” The aide said that the poll results would help the Trump campaign fine-tune its electoral strategy, adding, “Between now and Election Day, we have to keep Donald Trump on a steady drip of warm milk, chamomile tea, and Ambien.” Poll: Majority of Americans Prefer Sleeping Trump to Conscious Version LMAO! Or 6 feet under would work too!

Good. Trump trial live updates: Appeals court refuses to halt hush money caseTrump’s appellate court has been denied An appeals court judge has once again denied a request by Trump’s attorneys to halt his criminal trial as they seek to have the case moved outside of Manhattan. Justice Marsha Michael issued the ruling just minutes after a brief hearing. The arguments in the midlevel appeals court came hours after the jury selection process concluded in Trump’s criminal trial, which is currently taking place roughly two miles south. The ruling will allow opening arguments to take place as soon as Monday in Trump’s criminal trial. Trump’s appellate court has been denied

And the deadly crazies come out. New York Times article. Man Sets Himself on Fire Near Courthouse Where Trump Is on Trial
Onlookers screamed as fire engulfed the man, who had thrown pamphlets in the air before he set himself aflame. A police officer tried to extinguish the flames before the man was taken away in an ambulance. A man set himself on fire on Friday afternoon near the Lower Manhattan courthouse where jurors were being chosen for the criminal trial of former President Donald J. Trump. The man, who had lingered outside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse earlier this week, doused himself with accelerant at around 1:35 p.m. in Collect Pond Park, across the street from the building. Onlookers screamed and started to run, and soon, bright orange flames engulfed the man. He threw leaflets espousing anti-government conspiracy theories into the air before setting himself on fire. People rushed to extinguish the flames, but the intensity of the heat could be felt several hundred feet away. After a few minutes, dozens of police officers arrived to smother the blaze. The man was loaded into an ambulance and rushed away. The New York Fire Department said he was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A high-ranking Police Department official identified the man as Max Azzarello, 37, of St. Augustine, Fla. The official requested anonymity because the man had not been publicly identified. Mr. Azzarello had appeared outside the courthouse on Thursday with a sign displaying the address of a website where the same pamphlets were uploaded. The top post of the website says, “I have set myself on fire outside the Trump Trial.” At the park on Thursday, Mr. Azzarello had held up various signs and at one point shouted toward a group of reporters gathered there: “Biggest scoop of your life or your money back!” One of his signs claimed that Mr. Trump and President Biden were “about to fascist coup us.” Rest of article here: Man Sets Himself on Fire Near Courthouse Where Trump Is on Trial

We are on page 100! Anyone want to take a guess what the number* will be be the time all these trials are over?
* until the orange paint addict dies is not a valid answer since (1) that is not a number, and (2) it is wishful thinking due to the co-defendants in some of these case
November 8, 2016 - the day that will go down in history as the self inflicted Day of Infamy.

NYT article. Inside the Courtroom, Trump Is Trapped With His PastAs a kid, Donald Trump was “a brat,” according to his sister Judge Maryanne Trump Barry. He pelted rocks at other toddlers and was sent to a military academy for being disobedient. Ever since, he has listened to no one about anything. Until now. A big theme of the first week of his criminal trial is that Trump had to sit in a dingy New York courtroom he despises and listen as prospective jurors (who were not selected) trashed him. On Thursday he was called a “racist, sexist narcissist,” “unchristian,” “evil” and more. On Friday he heard a social media post from a few years ago describing his “egomaniac, sociopathic incompetence,” with one of his many critics concluding, “I do believe that he was the devil.” He was trapped, unable to use the remote to change the channel to Fox News. This was followed by lawyers arguing about which of his many lies and rebukes from judges and juries in earlier cases are admissible. Justice Juan Merchan will rule Monday on how much of the detritus from Trump’s past can be used on cross-examination if Trump makes the foolish but still conceivable decision to take the stand. This could include the E. Jean Carroll civil case (where Trump was found liable for sexual assault); the smack-down from the bench when he filed a frivolous suit against Hillary Clinton; the judicial finding that he breached his duties by allowing his campaign to grab $2.8 million from his now-shuttered charity; and certain key parts of Michael Cohen’s testimony. In the meantime, Trump had to sit still while the judge tongue-lashed his harried lawyers for the obnoxious strategy of delay he insists they continue to pursue. “The defense is targeting my decisions one by one by one,” Merchan said. “That has to end. … There comes a point where you have to accept my rulings. There’s nothing else to clarify. Nothing else to argue. We are starting this trial Monday morning.” Trump thought this was his excuse to leave and violate courtroom protocol by standing up. He was sorely mistaken. “Sir, would you please have a seat?” Merchan calmly told the former president. Trump quickly sat down like the obedient little boy he never was. He is accustomed to ending meetings when he wants to, or stalking out when he feels like it. Those days are over for him, at least until summer. Inside the Courtroom, Trump Is Trapped With His Past

trump has a busy upcoming Monday. Opening statements in Trump's first criminal trial are set to start 30 minutes before a judge will hear arguments about his bond in the Trump Org civil trialOpening arguments will begin on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Trump's hush-money case, the first-ever criminal trial to be held against a former president — and just the first of four criminal cases facing Trump to be heard in court. In the hush money trial, prosecutors allege Trump cooked his books to hide a $130,000 payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels to cover up an affair the pair had. Trump denies the affair took place and refutes allegations that his financial records were falsified. Down the street, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Judge Arthur Engoron will hear arguments over Trump's bond in his civil fraud trial after New York Attorney General Letitia James asked for the judge to reject the $175 million bond posted by Knight Specialty Insurance Company and declare the bond to be "without effect," James wrote in a memo filed Friday. James argued that the company that posted the bond doesn't meet the "requirements of trustworthiness and competence" required for insurers doing this type of business. She added that the insurance group is not licensed to conduct new business in New York and has never before written a surety bond in the state. I keep thinking of this case a the Stormy Daniels hush money cash, but this article explains how it’s actually much worse than that. ‘ The essence of the charges here, therefore, are as significant in their own way as the ones concerning election interference in the 2020 campaign that have gotten more attention, a federal case brought by special prosecutor Jack Smith and a Georgia case brought by Fulton County DA Fani Willis," Eisen wrote.’www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/donald-trump-trial-much-more-serious-than-expected-legal-analyst/ar-AA1nk3Y9?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=812fa9cbd00240999798e50f75cee4f5&ei=12The thing is going to be proving that Trump hid the payments because he didn’t want them to influence the voters in 2016 - because Trump is going to insist that he hid the payments because he didn’t want Melania to know. One is election interference, the other is not. My argument against it being just a ‘I don’t want Melanie to find out’ reason is the great depths he (and Cohen) went to to cover their trail. Melania is not going to come in and comb through their business records. Regulators might.

If this actually happened during jury selection, it's hilarious: [img alt="" style="max-width:100%;" src="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1005027617914769&set=a.832759058474960&__cft__[0]=AZXfG40vcgSrjBSXzt2KSomrhaUo2PP1k3VhpvuJYPgWe0c3RAYqLQJY9qLGCLsn9-J0WA5gNDSlWP-C6YeRs_El5i67ai-eQFzpBVnQSUV6ZyezHe3QspBL6a21dcz8tN7v1QS_GZ047MyeKmCH-9B3mJmb9k4hOefBy2xygv5KTXmRlC9PVhLbw0mGZi4ySHZjYpkj39BylpaJZOcldV3Aols7t24ocdbhND7e82MdRg&__tn__=EH-R"][img style="max-width:100%;" src="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1005027617914769&set=a.832759058474960&__cft__[0]=AZXfG40vcgSrjBSXzt2KSomrhaUo2PP1k3VhpvuJYPgWe0c3RAYqLQJY9qLGCLsn9-J0WA5gNDSlWP-C6YeRs_El5i67ai-eQFzpBVnQSUV6ZyezHe3QspBL6a21dcz8tN7v1QS_GZ047MyeKmCH-9B3mJmb9k4hOefBy2xygv5KTXmRlC9PVhLbw0mGZi4ySHZjYpkj39BylpaJZOcldV3Aols7t24ocdbhND7e82MdRg&__tn__=EH-R" alt=""] I wish this was televised. shitgibbon is a very clever contraction. Can you elaborate so I don’t spend an hour on google trying to figure this one out? Seems to just be a variant of these compound words: wankpuffin, cockwomble, fucktrumpet, dickbiscuit, twatwaffle, turdweasel, bungle****, shitehawk
And some (more) variants: ****puffin, spunkpuffin, shitpuffin; fuckwomble, twatwomble; jizztrumpet, spunktrumpet; shitbiscuit, arsebiscuits, douchebiscuit; douchewaffle, cockwaffle, fartwaffle, ****waffle, shitwaffle (lots of –waffles); crapweasel, fuckweasel, pissweasel, doucheweasel.

Judge says Manhattan DA can cross-examine Trump about Carroll, fraud decisionsNEW YORK — A New York judge said Monday that Manhattan prosecutors can bring up several civil lawsuits involving former President Trump if he chooses to testify in his ongoing criminal trial. After hearing arguments Friday, Judge Juan Merchan ruled that prosecutors can cross-examine Trump about six of the 13 prior court determinations they requested to raise in their efforts to impugn the former president’s credibility in front of jurors. Merchan ruled that prosecutors are permitted to question Trump about two rulings — one by a judge, the other by a jury — finding that Trump defamed advice columnist E. Jean Carroll by denying her claims of sexual assault. The judge said prosecutors can also raise the decision in Trump’s civil fraud trial finding that he fraudulently manipulated property values as well as rulings finding that Trump violated the gag order in that case. Trump can also face questioning about a 2018 ruling in a lawsuit against his foundation. But Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) cannot bring up sanctions imposed against Trump in a lawsuit he filed against Hillary Clinton in Florida, the judge ruled, as well as several other “bad acts” prosecutors desired to cross-examine Trump about.
Trump and President Biden were “about to fascist coup us.” Rest of article here: Man Sets Himself on Fire Near Courthouse Where Trump Is on TrialIt's all for you Damien! Trump. It's all for you! If there is anything that is going to get me to believe in the concept of an anti-Christ it's Trump.
