Money talks and Bullshit walks! Bye Felicia...um I mean Lou Dobbs. The first on the chopping block by Fox trying to save itself. I predict he won't be the first to get the axe. But too little too late after years of the complete bullshit they have been peddling. I hope they take it straight up the ass and have to pay out the nose and fold. That may be wishful thinking but a person can dream.
Don't settle Dominion and Smartmatic! Take it all the way through to the end!

It's a great into for a lawsuit. Gotta love it. I hope it shreds the defendants to tiny little useless bits of animal excrement, never to be heard from on any sane media platform again (they may still get an outlet on the insane media, but heck, they can have that).

Even on the insane ones they have to buy time to appear: OAN prefaced Mike Lindell’s election “documentary” with a hilariously massive disclaimer
"Michael James Lindell has purchased the airtime for the broadcast of this program on One America News (‘OAN’) network,”

You know, the more that I read this lawsuit, the more it reads like a Dr. Seuss book. Short, easily understood sentences, definitive sentences.

edit: no. Dominion used Smartmatic in LA County. that's it. Dominion and Smartmatic are two different companies. Smartmatic's systems were only used in LA county for voting, and they are suing Fox. Dominion is a whole different company suing other people. Just for similar issues. Smartmatic makes sure to point out a few times in their brief that they are not related to Dominion.
From page 88 of their complaint filed:

Thanks for the explanation. Why would Smartmatic file in New York?

Its where part of Fox is based. I read an explanation in the NY Times. Let me get to it and copy the applicable part. I know its paywalled for most people. I'll update the post shortly. I was incorrect, althought the NY times did give a little bit of it. The longest part of the explanation was in the complaint itself. Basically, its because Fox and all the people who they are suing are broadcasting/based out of NY. That part is all very lawyerly, although my copy/paste function gets rid of all the formatting. 9 JURISDICTION & VENUE 28.The Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendant Fox Corporation pursuant to CPLR § 301. New York is the principal place of business of Fox Corporation. 29.The Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendant Fox News Network LLC pursuant to CPLR § 301. New York is the principal place of business of Fox News Network LLC. Fox News Network LLC broadcast the defamatory and disparaging statements (verbal) at issue in the complaint from its operations in New York, New York. Fox News Network LLC published the defamatory and disparaging statements (written/posted) at issue in the complaint from its operations in New York, New York. Fox News Network LLC used the disinformation campaign to solicit viewers and readers in New York, New York. New York was the largest television audience market in the United States at the time of the disinformation campaign with over 17 million viewers. 30.The Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendant Lou Dobbs pursuant to CPLR § 302. New York is Mr. Dobbs’ principal place of business (Fox News). Mr. Dobbs made the defamatory and disparaging statements at issue in the complaint knowing and intending for them to be broadcast (verbal) and published (written/posted) from New York, New York. Mr. Dobbs used the disinformation campaign to solicit viewers and readers in New York, New York. 31.The Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendant Maria Bartiromo pursuant to CPLR § 301. New York is Ms. Bartiromo’s residence and principal place of business (Fox News). Ms. Bartiromo made the defamatory and disparaging statements at issue in the complaint knowing and intending for them to be broadcast (verbal) and published (written/posted) from New York, New York. Ms. Bartiromo used the disinformation campaign to solicit viewers and readers in New York, New York. CAUTION: THIS DOCUMENT HAS NOT YET BEEN REVIEWED BY THE COUNTY CLERK. (See below.)INDEX NO. UNASSIGNEDNYSCEF DOC. NO. 1RECEIVED NYSCEF: 02/04/2021This is a copy of a pleading filed electronically pursuant to New York State court rules (22 NYCRR §202.5-b(d)(3)(i))which, at the time of its printout from the court system's electronic website, had not yet been reviewed andapproved by the County Clerk. Because court rules (22 NYCRR §202.5[d]) authorize the County Clerk to rejectfilings for various reasons, readers should be aware that documents bearing this legend may not have beenaccepted for filing by the County Clerk.18 of 285 10 32.The Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendant Jeanine Pirro pursuant to CPLR § 301. New York is Ms. Pirro’s residence and principal place of business (Fox News). Ms. Pirro made the defamatory and disparaging statements at issue in the complaint knowing and intending for them to be broadcast (verbal) and published (written/posted) from New York, New York. Ms. Pirro used the disinformation campaign to solicit viewers and readers in New York, New York. 33.The Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendant Rudolph Giuliani pursuant to CPLR § 301 for six reasons. (1) New York is Mr. Giuliani’s residence and principal place of business (Rudolph W. Giuliani, PLLC). (2) Mr. Giuliani made the defamatory and disparaging statements at issue in the complaint knowing and intending for them to be broadcast (verbal) and published (written/posted) from New York, New York by a New York-based organization. (3) Mr. Giuliani authorized and approved the broadcasting and publication of his statements to be made from New York and through a New York-based news organization. (4) On information and belief, Mr. Giuliani coordinated with New York-based reporters and employees of Fox News regarding the disinformation campaign and his statements before appearing on the Fox News programs at issue in the complaint. (5) Mr. Giuliani used the disinformation campaign to solicit money from individuals and corporations – including those located in New York, New York – for President Donald Trump. On information and belief, some of the money solicited for President Trump would be used to pay Mr. Giuliani. (6) Mr. Giuliani intentionally took advantage of New York’s unique resources, including serving as the headquarters and publication center for Fox News, to disseminate the disinformation campaign and profit from the disinformation campaign. 34.The Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendant Sidney Powell pursuant to CPLR § 302 for five reasons. (1) Ms. Powell made the defamatory and disparaging statements at issue in the complaint knowing and intending for them to be broadcast (verbal) and published CAUTION: THIS DOCUMENT HAS NOT YET BEEN REVIEWED BY THE COUNTY CLERK. (4) Ms. Powell used the disinformation campaign to solicit money from individuals and corporations – including those located in New York, New York – for contributions to her so-called “legal defense” fund and Super PAC. (5) Ms. Powell intentionally took advantage of New York’s unique resources, including serving as the headquarters and publication center for Fox News, to disseminate the disinformation campaign and profit from the disinformation campaign.

they also point that out in the litany of false claims which are enumerated in the preamble. they say something about the claim that smartmatic was involved in the six states that were determined to be in question by the defendants. none of that was true.

Smartmatic is small enough now but attempting to grow that they are really being hurt be this. It seems, if memory serves, they are a software provider which makes them easier to replace. Dominion provides machines which would be much more expensive to replace and are more established. I could see them just riding it out.

Dominion already filed suit against a bunch of people including Sydney Powell, who they had to chase across multiple state to serve. 1.3 billion - yes, with a B. Poor lawyers- literally. Not only do they stand to lose this lawsuit, Trump probably didn’t pay them to begin with. No wonder the impeachment lawyers are so shoddy.
