Worried about National security

Please tell me I'm wrong.

Trump is buddy buddy with Putin. We've got a giant Solar Winds hack done by Russia. Trump puts his lackeys in key positions in order to allow what happened on Jan. 6 to occur. He's calling for more on the 19th. So, we have a corrupt commander in chief and corrupt heads of security recently appointed. We can't trust any of them. I'm sure there are people that don't know who they're supposed to listen to now.

Seems to me, transition of power is always a vulnerable time. Add to that untrustworthy people in charge and Trump encouraging chaos. What better time to attack the US? I feel like we need to get Trump out ASAP, and disrupt this timeline.

Tell me I'm wrong. I didn't sleep much last night, so it might be that. I don't think so, but maybe.

Actually I'm worried about national security too.

Exactly because of how vulnerable we are. We are ripe for others to take advantage.

I do also think we'll see more domestic actions at home. I don't think this is the end of it.

I don't think Biden is going to be able to clean up this mess in 4 years. I think folks will be embolden to try to take his life.

I think the Dems are going to be so focused on the power they have, and they will abuse it, and in 4 years, we'll have a swing back to what we experienced under this last presidency again.

But, as PP said, I can't control it. Fortunately, my plate is over full, so just focusing on what I can control helps keep my anxiety at bay.

4 were not innocent, and 3 of them suffered medical emergencies.

If you are committing a crime, and die during said crime, you are not innocent. Still potentially tragic, but doing what they did was a direct cause of their deaths. The police officer who died is the only innocent victim. That is what bill is alluding to.

I am concerned about both "home grown" terrorists, and international trouble as well.  I actually feel badly for Biden.  Look what a mess he's walking into.  We've got a mismanaged pandemic going on, and while the stock market appears strong for now, there are a lot of unemployed and underemployed people.  These first few months of the new administration are going to be rough, no matter how much confidence I have that Biden will try & do what's right.

I thought people were "watching" him for a long time now.  How is this any different?  Obviously people in positions of power have colluded with him.  The National Police stood down.  They refused help from the FBI and National Guard.  It is actually surprising that no one forced the issue.  Did no one in a position of power review the plan?

I want to know how they will President Biden and Kamala Harris on Inauguration day?  Can we trust them, or are we to expect another coup attempt.

Given how indifferent those in key positions were in regards to defending the capital yes I am concerned about national security.  Not just right now but about what is going to be uncovered after Trump leaves office.

Do not get me wrong I do not think Trump is any kind of brilliant mastermind who has been working with Russia, China, NK or any other dictatorship to hand our country over to them.  He's not that freaking smart and I don't believe any of those countries would waste their time knowing that it could start WWIII.

However I don't think he or his cronies have really given a crap about anything in regards to security so they've probably all had a field day hacking us.  We don't know what we don't know.

I also don't like how easy it was to get into the congressional chambers.  That should have been authorization of deadly force like it would have if I rushed the Oval Office armed.  That needs to be addressed because I can see people realizing just how easy it for total random people to get that far and try it again.  Even weasels like Ted Cruz deserve protection.  

We also need to investigate and persecute every cop from the bottom on down that took selfies, opened barriers and otherwise looked the other way because these were "fine white people".   We need to start focusing on our own homegrown terrorists and less on other countries.  Not ignore them but I think it's pretty clear now that the brown people across the ocean are the least of our problems.

Apparently the 9/11 hijackers were overacheivers because you can just walk right on in to the Capital. They didn't need planes at all.  They just needed a gun and a MAGA hat.  Wonder what other buildings in Washington could be stormed as easily by a white guy with a gun.

I agree. Trump cannot be underestimated in terms of what he is willing to do to salve his pride.

He's dangerous, and should be removed ASAP.

I'm not sure if Trump is actually working with Putin, but I'm damn sure Putin is keeping his eyes out for an opportunity. This riot 2.0, if it happens, is a big, fucking opportunity. We need to get our ducks in a row, pronto.

trump just announced he will not attend Biden's inauguration.

I'm thinking possibly law enforcement and other authorities might be directly present in the White House watching Trump. Something we will may never know for years to come.

Any military action trump may want to take over the next 12 days will be stopped. Any domestic action trump may want to take which could harm the country in any way will be stopped. At least I hope so.

I am hoping no one would act on trump's orders after Wednesday's disaster. Do they really want to do prison time because they would.

From what I have been reading the military has zero interest in following Trump.  They have made it clear they serve America not a wannabe dictator.

Plus I am hoping now that Democrats are in control evne though they only got a couple weeks that they are going to check and balance Trump's ass right out of office.  Something Congress should have been doing from day one.
