KUDOS!!!
I am intrigued by people's information processing reporting, I think Ryan is one of the more unique members of our little community. I joyfully struggle to figure him out the times like this I run across his postings. It was actually an honest question. His post suggested that he had done exactly that but I had to wonder if he truly had. I know i could not have left it as a simple yes or no question. And my experience has been no one I have been in conversation with on the topic has left it as a yes or no answer.

Aren't a bunch of his supporters Q-Anon, anti-vaxx, Bill Gates is chipping us and such people? Who is going to be really excited about a vaccine?
I guess those people are already voting for him, so he is just trying to get a few from the middle?
I was surprised at how many people in my circle have said they and their families will wait until "round 2" to get the vaccine, as they don't believe the process is being properly followed. I said I would wait until "round 2" because I don't feel my family is at risk, compared to medical workers, essential personnel, those with pre-existing conditions, etc. If so many people reject the vaccine as untrustworthy, I may move up on the list.

Well I said that "I" asked them just to simplify the story, but it was my boss that actually asked them and I happened to be on the same call. I probably wouldn't have asked them in the first place. I would've expected them to say YES, but if they didn't then I wouldn't want to seem like I was questioning their decision.

It makes sense to me that a supervisor would want to get an idea of his worker's thoughts on being vaccinated but I would want more than a yes or no depth of understanding.

The bigger question should be why a boss asked this of his employees in the first place. Unless he works as a HCP, there is no reason for a boss to have this information of their employees, and it is bordering on illegal.

I think that having a sense of my work forces feelings on being vaccinated would be helpful for planning purposes.

Nobody had gone in and then he asked if they had been venturing out to restaurants and stuff like that and they all said no. Now I assume that when he asked the question about whether or not they would get the vaccine, he thought they would say yes given how cautious they were. I mean, I don't think it's that strange that he didn't ask. The only reason to not get one is that you are concerned about safety. That's pretty much the only reason I've heard so far. I was talking to someone the other day who said that he is not going to get the vaccine because why would he roll the dice on a vaccine that was rushed to market for a disease that 1) he probably won't even get 2) if he does get, has a very small % chance of killing him.

I don't think I ever had an employer do more than say Vaccines will be available on these dates, schedule your appointment slot now. I am not sure if they committed to a number of Vaccines before employees made their appointments though.

My SIL's sister got COVID, she works in a hospital - she used to be a phlebotomist, but now she is something like a Patient Advocate - basically she checks people in and collects their insurance and other personal information. She was off of work for at least a month, she was in the hospital for a week or two. SIL said the hospital was calling her while she was hospitalized herself and telling her she needed to come to work, or she would lose her job. She also said that her DS now walks with a cane and has trouble breathing. She said last night that she would not be surprised if her sister has permanent damage from the COVID-19 infection. Her DS is about mid-50's, overweight, but not morbidly overweight, and otherwise in good health.

If flu doses do not get used, they get returned to provider. It is not a big deal. The provider knows the number of employees is the number they should bring.

On NNC news they had the Covid task force member (a lifelong republican) talking about how she quit due to the presidents shitty response to it.
She quit in July but just lately came forward to speak out. So they brought her boss out on camera to talk about he fired her for poor performance.
She quit. They even asked her to stay but she wouldn’t. Until suddenly now she was fired.
