California had the largest number of cases in the US BY FAR this week.
I think Newsom is going to have to do something. at a minimum, he should order a SIP for LA.
it is really getting bad here, and accelerating.

Why LA - I check NY Times and as of today the 14 day trend has been the same. I see more of the Northern CA counties in Red.
Can you point me to where you are seeing the increase in LA?

NJ so far has at least 4 times the number of cases CA has so far to date. Our curve is on the downside for now, as is NY, but I expect summer will change that. Right now your new case curve looks more like a steady state to me than a significantly accelerating curve. CA's death count is not in the top 10 per 1 Mil population. I don't know if summer would push you there or not. I don't remember the exact date of lockdown here, but I think the facility I work in closed to visitors around March 16th. The peak so far in NJ was around the beginning of May which is roughly what NY's curve looked like to me. If you look at the stats per 1 Mil of population on that worldometers website you will see the worst relative numbers are on the East Coast. NJ, NY, MA, CT, RI, and DC as examples. In spite of our case count in the US we are just at the beginning of all of this. It will be interesting to see where we are in Sept/Oct. I think only parts of Italy might be done with the worst of it. www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/italys-hard-hit-region-nears-herd-immunity-as-more-than-half-of-people-tested-show-coronavirus-antibodies/ar-BB15iqTL?ocid=uxbndlbing
