I'm having a really hard time understanding how fact checking is silencing. It's like he's saying, "I have a right to say whatever I want, consequences be damned, and nobody can stop me."

Classic Trump statement, tossing in a couple "weasel words". Does he mean there will be action or is he just trolling? We can't be certain. I hope that enough people, distributed adequately in the right states, think we can't take the risk of giving him four more years to find out.

All one needs to do is go to Twitter and check this out. Conservative voices are not silenced on Twitter. They are, however, called to account for the things they profess (by other tweeters). Disagreeing with someone is not silencing them.

It’s not Russia. Facebook finally had the balls to make trump comply with the same posting rules everyone else does and he’s whining like a baby about the unfairness of it all. What was unfair was how Facebook let him get away with flouting their rules for this long.

I am not definitively saying that President Trump will be the person who will lead America into fascism although I do think he has the mindset to do it. But when it happens, and I do think it will eventually happen, the journey will be full of people saying, "I don’t think he/she/they can do 'that', can he/she/they? It’s not Russia."

Twitter is not silencing him -they just added a fact check to his post on how mail in ballots cause issues.
If twitter had silenced him, they would have removed a lot of his posts that have fake accusations against his detractors. As usual, he is just a whiny baby.

the OP is precisely why we have the 1st amendment- to protect us AGAINST TRUMP, not the opposite.

Disagreeing with someone is silencing them cause their opinion is just as valid as whatever facts you can dig up via your deep state conspiracy contacts.

But if he shuts down Twitter what will he do with the other 23 hours in his day? You can't expect him to work!

Seriously, I have no idea whether or not it's satire. I would guess satire because he wouldn't admit to being fact checked, just silenced.

He wants the freedom to say whatever he wants, whenever he wants, but never accepts consequences, and thinks that anyone who disagrees with him should be silenced.
He doesn't even have to do it through gulags. By opening up social media companies for being sued, the effect is that nobody will be critical of anyone with power. Their posts will be deleted, as the social media networks will be afraid of lawsuits. So the only views we'd see online would be ones in praise of those in power.
Kind of like....China.

Asking or expecting Social Media platforms to adjudicate the truth might just be a can of worms. It seems to be a great idea until the people running the social media platforms are no longer in your camp, the truth is rather subjective and very much open for debate.

This is honestly a great example of how trump can't see beyond the edge of his nose. He doesn't have the patience to regularly communicate in more than 140 characters. He excels in the limitation with his base. He does himself little favors when he tries to expand upon it. There's no way for him to "put limitations on them" without limiting himself far more than he realizes which would then cut him off from his base.

I want to see just how loyal those conservative assholes on the court are. If they uphold this, all bets are off. We are no longer a viable democracy.

I'm having a really hard time understanding how fact checking is silencing. It's like he's saying, "I have a right to say whatever I want, consequences be damned, and nobody can stop me." He does you one better. Fact checking is not just silencing him. The way he makes this claim is that fact checking is silencing all conservatives. If I were a true conservative you'd bet your *ss that I would take that statement as a humongous insult!
