Fill a stadium with a 100,000 dumb asses sitting elbows to ass holes who support trump. Keep them locked in for a month and let this disease spread. Kill off the idiots

Masks?!? We don't need no stinkin' masks... (I am PO'd that the Ford plant, which he visited, didn't make him wear a mask during his visit. When is someone going to grow a pair, and inform him that if he goes inside, he MUST wear a mask, otherwise lock him out?)

He had a mask in his pocket, he showed it off, he said he thought he looked even better in his mask, he held a face shield to his face for the camera, but he still refused to actually WEAR a mask on camera. Claimed he wore the mask "backstage", but the reporters pointed out that NO ONE has actually seen him wear it. I loved the state officials calling him out on it, and claiming he's no longer welcome in the state for flouting state law.

Since he is supposedly a germaphobe, he will avoid the harder hit blue states where this is taken more seriously. He only wants to be president of about 40% of the country anyway

One journalist did capture a picture of trump wearing one. Picture within the link. Trump wears mask with presidential seal during part of Ford plant tourI only wish the mask were made of duct tape.

Then he made the reporter take the mask from him. I wouldn't take it or get near him. He said he looked good in the mask. Always about himself.
None of the emotes are showing up here today. Anyone else having the same problem?

Here's the thing - I went on Fox News this Am for about 10 minutes and the only thing they were talking about is Biden Jr and Burisma.
Trump, his media mouthpieces, Pence and all the rest of the trumpettes are trying hard to pretend this is completely over, and people like my MIL (who said Trump moved heaven and earth to defeat the virus) think it's gone. No longer news worthy. Let's move to the real issue- how corrupt Biden and his kid are.
I live in a far right area, and most of the people here in stores have stopped wearing masks and stopped social distancing. It's why I go to the grocery store late at night on weekday nights, when there are less idiots there.
Trump has persuaded 30% of the country they no longer need to worry about the virus. Pretty much guarantees we'll have significant outbreaks, especially here in the South. The city I work in is already experiencing a spike in new cases.
Trump thinks he needs to push opening the economy to win the election in November. He'll end up creating a second virus spike worse than the first, requiring a second shut down (which he'll refuse to do) and guaranteeing his defeat at the polls.

He does not actually have the authority to do a shut down. Governors will be put in the position to order them (or not) and he will just play off that in whatever way his gut tells him is to his advantage.

Between the religious and the Trumpers, we get to watch Darwin in action over the next few months.
I live in a very Red area. Here the democratic hoax virus is still bullshit and won't affect anyone, so no need to socially distance or wear masks.

The president may not be able to shut down the country (which I think is interesting given all the other authority the position apparently has), but a better president would likely have been better at persuading the governors to take similar actions and communicate better to the people as a whole.

At this point, I think my governor is totally ignoring the President and taking his direction solely from the CDC. He mentioned it on his news conferences. He has stated repeatedly he is listening to the scientists.

I went through the slideshow that was on here. It seems a lot of restaurants are putting tables 6 feet apart. Do they understand the people sit about 18 inches away from the table, which takes the distance between people down to about 3 feet. I love eating out, but it will be awhile.

Yes, their backsides are closer than 6 feet apart and if the virus was passed by flatulence, that would be a real concern. When I eat, my face is much closer to the edge of the table than 18 inches. But I am a bit of a messy eater. YFMV.

I think that the logic here is that if you are eating at a table with others, you have been living with them for the last 2 months. That's not a correct assumption. We get together with a group of people (or we last did on 3/12) and drink and have dinner. There are anywhere from 8-20 people who will show up on any one week. I think that us getting together at a restaurant again is going to be a long time coming. Doing our happy hours on Zoom is not near as satisfying.

Unlikely I've been living with the people one table over. Although, I guess it is possible - are we all sick of each other yet?

My thoughts on restaurants: For non-smokers (smokers seemed to be pretty much oblivious to this stuff) remember the good old days when people smoked at their table? and the restaurant might have a "cloud" of smoke in some parts? And then there was the smoking section.. remember how if you sat too close to the smoking section you still might get some smoke? And how if you had to spend any time in the smoking section - your clothes would reek of smoke?
Does anyone else remember having a table of smokers sitting 10 or 20 feet from you in a restaurant, bar, ball room (for a wedding) and being able to smell the smoke? And maybe you kind of got use to it... but the next morning (or on wash day) when you were handling the clothes you wore... you got hit with the smoke smell? How much second hand smoke did you inhale? probably not enough to hurt you (you were only there for a few hours). But with a virus - in exhaled air... if the smoke could get to you from a table a ways away... do you think the virus won't if someone (or someones) at that table are shedding virus?
And then there's the waitstaff - handling things people (maybe sick people) have had in their mouths... how long before it spreads to the wait staff and then to other customers?
Yeah, no. I'm not eating in a sit down restaurant for quite some time to come.

He looks better in the mask. Can’t see his weird little mouth. The mouth is not the problem. The fact that he keeps pursing his lips into what the backside of a cat looks like is the problem. Somehow he thinks that makes him look smart. Or maybe it's a nervous tick. i wish he would stop it.

Yeah, no. I'm not eating in a sit down restaurant for quite some time to come. We'll still do call an order in and take it out. ......... Did a little car dealership interviewing to day and did a very busy drive-thru hamburger joint ........

Well our prez and some others in congress have stated that we have to sacrifice old people so we can open the economy to be very irresponsible and callous. And his supporters do not GIVE one shit about people who are trying to be responsible. Quite frankly the lack of empathy the prz has shown to almost 100,000 people who have died is not only callous but despicable! Let that 100,000 be his kool aid drinking followers and not innocent people
