I'm willing to bet they sure as hell will try to make it.
But their biggest problem is they can't reopen the country then say voting is a problem.

That sounds like something they'd at least try to do. Remember, Trump wants to be "president for life". The Constitution be d*mned.

Not to mention those of us in states that tried to postpone our spring elections due to covid and didn't/couldn't. Wisconsin has now held 2 elections in 6 weeks. We had a special election on Tuesday for the 7th District.

If his term is over and no election Nancy would be president.

He just doesn't want to be a one-term president who lost the popular vote for his only term by millions, and then got voted out. I think it's the being fired part he has issue with, not the fact that he wants to be president for life. Hell, I think he likes the idea of being a two-term ex-president, where he can bitch and moan about the current set of politicians on twitter to his hearts content, but not be held responsible for anything.

Meanwhile, also happening in Washington... Supreme Court hears arguments over 'faithless' Electoral College voters in dispute with possible 2020 implicationsThe Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear two cases over the Electoral College that could affect the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. The cases concern whether voters in the Electoral College, the body that officially elects the U.S. president, have a constitutional right to buck the will of their state popular vote. They were brought by Electoral College in Washington state and Colorado voters who refused to back Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016, despite her wins in those states. Frankly, I'm thinking he hopes the longer he is president, the less chance of him being dragged into court. He's got a LOT to be worried about once he's out of office. I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of him in an orange jumpsuit.

He won't, but that is what would be best. He needs to be beaten by such a wide margin that even when he tries to spin the results Fox ignores him because they see what is obvious.

He has sooo many things that they can indict him for that he SHOULD be afraid if he cannot kick the can down the road for another 4 years. The desperation is ugly.

I believe they think it's against them for it to go while covid is still fresh or mail ballots.

You can measure his level of desperation by the number of furious tweets he starts firing off, accusing opponents of felonies. He's on a rampage, since Sunday. News anchors, Obama, people who worked for Obama, everyone is either treasonous or committed other felonies, up to and including murder.

I am still wondering who did this interview, and was this a question Jaredwas wanting to be asked. His reply seemed too rehearsed and crafted to cause unrest.

Well, he informed the US that the national stockpile was ‘ours’ and his minions changed the wording on the website to something more ambivalent. It would not surprise me in the least if he tries.

I think the real work will be in the area of the voting process and not changing the date of the official on-site voting.

I think the real work will be in the area of the voting process and not changing the date of the official on-site voting. I agree. I read in an article a while back that there's several states where you can only get a mail in ballot for being old or in the military (might be a few more reasons). Which seems crazy to me - it's being challenged though so hopefully they win. I did mail in last election - which I then actually dropped off instead of mail because I needed stamps to mail it back!!! A month ago I signed up for mail in for the next several elections - get it in early so Florida can fuck it up less. Though from what I can tell my country does a decent job of the elections - though who knows if Corona would change that.

WA is mail in ballots only. Every other state I have lived in I have gone to the polls. I actually find I prefer this, because I can have my computer open and research choices rather than guess.

Bill Maher has been predicting this since Trump was elected.

Fortunately, I can vote by mail because of my age (over 75). That's exactly what I'll do!

It depends on how the virus is doing when it's time to request a mail in ballot. My polling place is less than 1/3 mi. from our house & I could wait until I'm the only one going in or at least when there are few people there. The gals down there all know me any way.
