This might be common knowledge, but on the chance it will help others, I found out today that I can shop at Costco through Instacart without a Costco membership.
Now, of course, prices will be higher without the member discount, but if you're in a bind or feeling poorly and need to re-stock, consider a Costco Instacart order. An added benefit is the speed with which they can deliver: I placed a Costco order this afternoon that will be delivered tomorrow. All of the traditional grocery stores near me are booking 10 days -- yes, 10 days!!! -- out IF they even have slots then.
On a related note, you DO need a membership to shop at BJs through Instacart. They are only charging $25 for the membership right now, though, so it might still be an option. I placed a BJs order with Instacart at 11:00 this morning and it was delivered by 1:15 this afternoon.
Hope this helps someone.

Even if you have a membership it's higher than getting it in the store.
The eggs I get was $1 more. Lettuce $1. Wine $2. Yogurt $2. It added up quick so the "free" part is just baked into the pricing.
BJs prices are the same as in store but there's a $14.99 fee.
Neither include tip.

They deliver here, but unfortunately no slots open. I'll be checking back next week to see if it's available.
However, TD pointed out that we get out so infrequently that by the next time we need groceries, we may need to be getting out of the house. He's not wrong!

I would have a Costco membership anyway, but it's probably 40 miles away from my house, so too far compared to many closer options. I doubt I'm anywhere near their delivery area.

I tried to place an order at Costco, but it looks like I can’t order any meat, seafood, fresh fruit or vegetables.

Must vary by location. I could when I was looking the other day.

I did place an order at Harris Teeter for pickup on Monday. The only time slot available was 6 to 6:30 so I took it.

I asked H. if he wanted to order online and pick up at Walmart. No. He wants to shop. I'm going this time since I haven't been anywhere in a month.
