A great grand daughter started some plants and is super excited with here little sprouts.
Who is gearing up with starting plants and what are you doing?

I’m ordering lettuce and bean seeds. A neighbor divided her mint and left some by the road for me to pick up.
Still too early for tomatoes, but I plan to ask my son to buy me some in about a month. It’s good to be out in the yard and garden, weeding, pruning and preparing

Just peas so far. ' On the other hand, I've never been so glad to have planted bulbs in my life.

Wish we could grow peas here -- too hot, unfortunately. I have tomatoes, green and sweet banana peppers, broccoli, zucchini, and herbs. Harvested three peppers yesterday and will use them in a chicken stir fry tomorrow.

Bought a couple of cherry tomato plants from Costco about a month ago and they are doing well. Have picked several of the 'cherries' and they are so much better than anything I can purchase at grocery.
Watching several clumps of tomatoes and waiting for them to ripen.
Living in SW desert. these plants are in pots on the front porch. They get plenty of sun and I water them every other day. I use a q-tip for cross-pollination and it seems to work.
Yum
I have a horrible brown thumb and usually anything dies very quickly. This time I'm trying to remember to water them.

I'm debating whether to buy some pods for my aero garden or not. Kinda failed spectacularly last time but fresh lettuce and tomatoes would be nice without having to go to the store.

I'm going to have to try that. I ordered seeds this morning. Lettuce, beans and alfalfa sprouts.

I'm growing new green onions from old green onions. They're coming along nicely.

When leafy veggies get too old in the fridge, I will 'tear' them up and just toss them onto the garden bed. If my friendly opposum eats it up, fine. If not it decomposes. I often will do that with romaine lettuce. I have also seen what your picture shows: new leaves growing out of the core of a shredded up romaine. Thought that was pretty neat.

How long does it take to grow the lettuce?
My iceberg lettuce also froze in the refrigerator. Surprisingly, we could eat it.
