Looking for recommendations for pet insurance.
Obviously, premiums, deductibles, coverage limits and co-pays matter, but I’m more concerned about exclusions from coverage. Also, are there pet insurance carriers who pay the vet directly, or do they require owners to pay and then submit claims?
My pup has no pre-existing conditions and is 6 years old, but I figure it’s just a matter of time before he might have some expensive health issues.
So, any recommendations (or warnings as it may be)?

Only thing I know about pet insurance is the AKC offers it if your pet is registered. Im sure other similar organizations do the same.

I have had it a couple of time. I know of none who pay the vet directly.
As Lucy has aged, the premiums got so high that I've started to self insure. She has her own savings account.
Read the reviews carefully. I got pulled in with a low premium but after a year the monthly premium doubled. I'm putting twice that amount in to savings.
Most of the companies also try to blame pre-existing conditions.
