Am I the only one who thinks it is so that people can get to his UK resorts?

I honestly don't know what it is about, but it seemed utterly bizarre to me.

I read that it may be to suck up with his pal Boris Johnson.
Didn’t bother to warn the EU in advance, and they are pissed.
Although it’s not like we have a lot of allies in the EU anymore.

Again, showing the utter incompetence of this administration. After Trump's latest purge over at State is there anyone left who can advocate for even the simplest and most basic of protocol steps? This is totally self inflicted. Of course even if someone had suggested it, trump could nix it out of pure spite and malice!

My worst expectation is Trump eventually declares Martial Law and cancels the election due to ‘national security’. He already mentioned the Stafford Law today and all the powers that he has under that.

Thanks for the link. I think Trump is petty and doesn't really think things through. He's mad at the EU, Italy makes a great target so he made his ban IMO with that in mind. Now this of course ignores its real easy to fly between the EU and the UK. People do it all the time. NJ news had a story and video from a guy who left Croatia and drove through Italy on the way to whatever airport he flew out of. It might have been a non Italy EU airport but for some reason I think he actually flew out of Scotland.

The GOP has egg on its face over the handling of this crisis, I think support for Trump is dropping daily with GOP movers and shakers.

When I search for it all I get is law firms around the country named Stafford. Thanks.

I’ve wondered about that, but hopefully by November, we’ll be through this - and people will remember how badly he screwed up.

I heard this British epidemiologist talking about the UK non-ban. he said that the UK is doing the same horrible job of managing this as the US, and that there is no reason they should be excluded from the travel ban. he said that the ONLY reason that he could think of that it has gone this way is a political one- that the UK is friendly with the US, and that Trump is basically being kind to them for it. but how is it an act of kindness to expose the UK to our virus and our own people to theirs?
can we just invoke the 25th and get this guy out of office, yet?
