Worse than Trump?
He'll be a shoo in for sure, then.
We are truly rocketing our way to hell in a hand basket. There is nothing too criminal or thuggish for the GOP to do, apparently.

All right, I had a look. www.thedailybeast.com/who-is-robert-f-hyde-the-trump-donor-who-apparently-tracked-marie-yovanovitchDon't know what's most cringe worthy - the obscene tweets at politicians, the crazy melt down at Trump's Doral property (he thought the landscapers were trying to kill him) or the fact that this big mouth braggart is behind on his $100 per week child support payments. At least the CT GOPers are trying to convince him to drop out of his race - guess there are still some GOPers left with dignity and standards.

i think it was the obscene tweets that got my attention. at a certain point I just kind of put people like him and Trump in a black box. it is just too painful to watch their antics on a daily basis. I have my sanity to protect.

aka he is fucking nuts.

Just in time for the trial. White House hold on Ukraine aid violated federal law, congressional watchdog saysThe White House violated federal law in its hold on security aid to Ukraine last year, according to a decision by a congressional watchdog released on Thursday and reviewed by The Washington Post. The Government Accountability Office, a nonpartisan agency that reports to Congress, found the Trump administration violated a law that governs how the White House disburses money approved by Congress. The GAO decision comes as the Senate prepares for the impeachment trial of President Trump, a process set to begin Thursday. “Faithful execution of the law does not permit the President to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law,” the decision states. “OMB withheld funds for a policy reason, which is not permitted under the Impoundment Control Act.” The White House quickly rebutted the charge, criticizing the agency’s decision as an “overreach” and an attempt to insert itself into the “media’s controversy of the day.” Article here: White House hold on Ukraine aid violated federal law, congressional watchdog says

I caught part of Rachel Maddow's show last night. When Lawrence O'donnel came on, he asked Rachel why Lev Parnas was so willing to put all this information out there, and she said that Parnas feels that the more information he gets out there, the "Safer" he is. Apparently he is afraid he may "know too much" and like Jeffrey Epstein and be a target in prison.
She didn't really get into Hyde - she did say she would have more on the interview tonight - I don't know if she will have more on Hyde, or more of Parnas's claims.
Parnas really made it seem as though our government is run like the Mafia though.

Ukraine is finally conducting an investigation...looking at the trump administration and their alleged surveillance of former U.S. ambassador Marie Yovanovitch. Also investigating the alleged Russian hacking of Burisma Holdings computers. Ukraine launches probe into alleged surveillance of former U.S. envoyUkraine has launched criminal investigations into the possible illegal surveillance of former U.S. ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, and the reported hacking of Burisma Holdings, the natural gas company at the center of the Trump impeachment. "Ukraine's position is not to interfere in the domestic affairs of the United States of America," the Interior Ministry, which runs the police forces, said in a statement. However, recent reports pointed to the possible violation of Ukrainian and international law, it said. "Ukraine cannot ignore such illegal activities on the territory of its own state," the statement added. Complete article here: Ukraine launches probe into alleged surveillance of former U.S. envoy

Satire from The Borowitz ReportTrump Stays Up All Night with Sharpie Crossing Out Lev Parnas in Photos with HimBy Andy Borowitz WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump pulled an all-nighter on Wednesday, using a Sharpie to cross out Lev Parnas from photos taken with him at hundreds of events. Trump, his hands blackened by ink, started working his way through a mountainous stack of photos of him and Parnas at approximately 10 p.m., a White House source confirmed. After more than an hour of obliterating Parnas, Trump reportedly barked at his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to fetch Vice-President Mike Pence and Attorney General William Barr to assist with the Parnas deletions. “Get Pence and Barr in here!” Trump reportedly thundered. “If I’m going down, they’re going down!” Complete article here including how Rep Devin Nunes is handling this new information from Parnas: Trump Stays Up All Night with Sharpie Crossing Out Lev Parnas in Photos with Him

That’s how it rolls. The underlings get leveraged to cough up info as they move up the ladder towards the top dogs. As us older farts remember Watergate we recall how the minions fell like dominoes.
