There was a guest on On Point today that said much of the same thing. Parnas is in saving his own ass mode, because no one else can. If that is what it takes to get knowlegable parties to unzip their mouths, save away ... I think Jesus Christ himself could come down and say that Trump broke the law and folks still wouldn't listen...

Jesus would have an issue with how Trump treats the shithole country people, for sure. And the whole monogamy thing. And loving your neighbors. Turning the other cheek. False witness. Well, just pretty much everything in the Art of the Deal.

I caught part of Rachel Maddow's show last night. When Lawrence O'donnel came on, he asked Rachel why Lev Parnas was so willing to put all this information out there, and she said that Parnas feels that the more information he gets out there, the "Safer" he is. Apparently he is afraid he may "know too much" and like Jeffrey Epstein and be a target in prison.
Parnas really made it seem as though our government is run like the Mafia though. There was a guest on On Point today that said much of the same thing. Parnas is in saving his own ass mode, because no one else can. I heard this as well. Apparently this is a common tactic for mobsters, the only way for a mob member who 'knows too much' to stay alive is to come forward and tell everything they know. Avoids them getting taken out with a bullet to the brain. Ironic how Giuliani, who spent his early career fighting the mob, has now adopted the mob techniques in service to the Donald.

It's how it works with the mob, with drug dealers, with fraud rings, and every other crime. If the people involved aren't willing to talk, you never get to the person who is in charge. Trumpers are crowing "Parnas is a felon, you can't believe him!!!" Newsflash, bus loads of virginal nuns aren't witnesses to crimes. Other criminals are. Birds of a feather and all that.

She didn't really get into Hyde - she did say she would have more on the interview tonight - I don't know if she will have more on Hyde, or more of Parnas's claims.
Parnas really made it seem as though our government is run like the Mafia though. Naaaa, he is getting ready to write a book,, advanced publicity.

Birds of a feather and all that. this is precisely it. particularly with organized crime. the ONLY people that have any real contact with the criminals are other criminals. and like it or not (I say that because the GOP seems to like it) everyone that Trump seems to interact with to do his "work" for him is dirty.

Possibly, but that doesn't mean what he is saying is incorrect...actually, since what he says before publication better be true or believable since people could check out what he says for the honesty and if found false, it would hurt sales of the book.
