I'm not sure it's worthy of kudos to admit that you did something, only after you tried to lie about it, tried to cover it up, and then got caught in the entire thing. I'm not sure "kudos" is really the right term anyways. Maybe "respect" that they admitted to their mistake? But again, I don't think that applies when you do everything you can to avoid taking the blame, then only admit to it after you've been caught. That they wanted todo their own investigation...get all the facts , I don't find that implausible..It seems that they did admit pretty quickly after investigation was done I believe we too would have held off till we had investigated a similar incident. Facts: It was a Ukrainian airliner, Ukraine sent a team to investigate, and before they could arrive Iran started BULLDOZING the site. They also didn't say "we're investigating to see what happened", they simply flat out denied they had shot it down. Facts: In the days prior to admission, the head of aviation in Iran said one thing they know with CERTAINTY is that no missile hit the plane. They didn't need time to conclude their investigation, their own people said they were certain it was not hit with a missile. What part of "we know one thing with certainty, no missile hit the plane" suggests they're working on investigating and plan to release findings later that "oh yeah, a missile hit the plane". They tried to cover it up, they tried to destroy evidence before any other investigators arrived, and when it started becoming public knowledge throughout the world that Iran had unintentionally shot the plane down they came out and said "hey, we unintentionally shot the plane down". Saying that you know something "with certainty" does not suggest you're still trying to figure it out...that is a conclusion. In this case, the conclusion was a complete lie. ETA: For the record, I think Iran was in a really tough spot at the time. Escalating tensions, a series of errors which led to shooting down a commercial plane they almost definitely didn't intend to shoot down, risking bringing in other countries to a potential conflict because of it, etc. So I don't necessarily blame them for the way they DID react initially, which I think was probably out of fear...but neither do I ultimately give them any credit for simply admitting to what everyone already knew which they'd already lied about and tried to cover up. I don't even necessarily think other countries might not have done the same thing in an attempt to cover it up.

How can you hold trump harmless? The whole misadventure led up to that. He thought the world would kowtow to him and praise him. He has offended almost everyone he deals with. They ignored him and tried to keep peace. Easily, he would of never been president if Hillary didn't blow her chances by mismanaging her campaign/E-mails. It's Hillary's fault.

I saw the video on the news. Sure looked like two missiles. Those poor slobs never had a chance. I can't believe they didn't close that airspace. That's what it looked like to me as well. Really all I feel I can hope is that it was quick.
