Our embassy in Iraq is being attacked, & the occupant in the white house is golfing and whining on twitter. Where are the Republicans now? Why are they so quiet? The ambassador is on vacation much like the so called commander in chief. Who is in charge? Who is doing something to protect the Americans inside the compound? Where's the Secretary of State & what is he doing? Reports are that an American contractor is dead. How many more before the GOP remembers they can't blame a Democrat/Hillary/Obama for this?
so when do the hearings begin?

And to think that only a couple days ago trumps biggest concern (via twitter) was getting cut out of "Home Alone" and incorrectly bashing the prime minister of Canada for this.
WHY didn't he consider the consequences of an attack against the Iranians? Peoples lives are in jeopardy, perhaps there are no trump family members there but still......

Trump has sent in the troops. Helicopters shot flares. No protestors were killed AFAIK and they have backed off. It’s not Benghazi 2.0.

Any comparison of this to the attacks (plural) in Benghazi is absurd. They were militia attacks. This is a political protest.

Anyone watching the videos, understands this was barely even a militia attack. Or at least a poorly organized militia attack. There was more cellphone useage by the "attackers" than stones being thrown over the wall of the compound. Looked like three out of four men were taking videos of everyone else. Not quite like the storming of the Alamo...... No lives were lost on either side during this "attack"

They came with manpower and weapons, with an immediate and direct attack. Trump immediately activated troops and weapons and warned Iran this will not be tolerated. Quite a different approach.

It is absurd to make any comparisons to the responses made to the two.

The protesters were let in by Iraqi troops guarding the Green Zone. In some cases, Iraqi troops joined them. Not a good omen. According to one report...when interviewed by reporters..Iraqi reg military spokes person, as to why military didn't respond forcefully earlier..was explained, to intervene earlier...because mob was so large and worked up...to try and disburse with reg troops, much blood and injuries would happen...better to let mob simmer down and disperse, then intervene...which they did...successfully. Not being there...watching videos as we all have, I have no reason to not believe that version... If the mob had breached the walls and started to enter Embassy, I believe government would have stepped in...not allow a take over and imprisonment of embassy folks like in Iran years ago.. President of Iraq is friendly toward America and wants our help and support...He is under great pressure from Iran, large Shia population......He has to walk a close tightrope between Iran and USA... Reality of the situation , I believe the Donald wants a dust up with Iran for what ever reasons of his... Possible feels a small war now will help him in the 2020 election...Citizens have to support the troops and country in time of war, especially in the beginning... After years involved, see Nam and Afganistan...then populace changes but in beginning...natural happening is to give support to troops, country and leadership...any dust up now would be in the beginning... After the election...easy to compromise and back down...deescalate...the dust up served it's purpose. That is what I am thinking..believing.
