Yes. Some good things in it, some bad. A large gift to insurance companies, by the way. And if you are going to crow about one bill passing, why not bash McConnell for the hundreds of House-passed bills not being voted upon in the Senate? Wouldn't doing his job be a better use of his time and taxpayer-paid salary than knuckling under to or collaborating with a historically corrupt president?

Would have much rather had them eliminate the 401k and allow everyone to contribute the same amount to an IRA.
Instead they made it even more confusing and like tallguy said gave a huge gift to insurance companies.

Interesting that they raised the age to start taking RMDs to 72. It does make sense.

RMD's at 70 1/2 irritated me to no end. I didn't need it but had to withdraw. But honestly I don't see where two years will make much difference in the grand scheme of things.

Cool. I'm gonna use "sweeping overhaul" on my midyear performance appraisal - when I talk about the additional users I added to the recipient list of an already existing daily audit report for account department. I've revolutionized this process for fixing minor data entry errors in the accounting system! Yeah, not so much.

My feeling is this was a gift to the annuity companies that had been lobbying Trump and the GOP and slipped in a few intelligent crumbs like raising the age of the RMD, which should have been expected given the raised ages for SS.
