Here is my need: I am doing a reader's theater show on our local radio station. The public domain script is available on line. I want to copy and paste it on to a Samsung Tablet that has an Android operating system. I want to be able to highlight my lines in the script. I tried some memo and note apps but the script is apparently too long and they don't allow highlighting.
Any ideas? (I am cheap and don't really want to pay anything for this likely one time need.)

Would downloading Word work?
What file format is the script in? .pdf .txt .doc something else?

I think the "kids" now use Google Docs? It is like word but it is cloud based. DD uses it for college term papers and she used it in HS too. I would think that product would allow you to highlight sections - but I have never used it myself.

It appears to be a "text file". I have no luck with Google docs. I will see about Word. Thanks.

I am not familiar with Android at all. Is there a way to save the document as a PDF or print/forward it to a program that would allow it to save in the PDF format? I primarily use GoodNotes to mark up PDFs from classes I take, but I don’t think that is available for Android.
I’ve also used Evernote to annotate PDFs but I don’t recall if that is possible for text files.

Yeah, I don't know about the pdf thing but will see if I can get GoodNotes and, if not, then Evernote to work for me. Thank you for working to be helpful. It is appreciated.

Billis-can you create a PDF file of the script including your highlighted areas, attach it to an email you send yourself then open then open the email in your Samsung tablet and then open the PDF file. Try finding any PDF file and do the attach to email directions I mentioned above. I know I have opened PDF files I found in news articles on my Samsung tablet. They open fine.

I found an app, Novelist, that allowed me to just cut and paste into it. Them I could bold my lines.
Thank you again for those who responded.
