it's my co-workers. Sometimes I swear my son will be more independent out of the womb than these people.

MJ, you can voice your thoughts loudly..................and blame the hormones. If you don't, forever hold your peace.

everyone already doesn't like me because I'm the "boss's pet" -- translation: a)I do my job b)I work independently c)I'm willing to learn new things d)I help her with projects and new stuff because of a, b, and c! I haven't even told them that I will be taking 6-7 weeks on top of the 6-8 weeks of leave the company gives me. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Nancy, they already know that I refuse to do their work for them. When we learn new stuff, one lady takes notes then inevitably misplaces them MINUTES later, and the other two really don't write anything down and barely pay attention on the hope that they won't actually have to do this thing. Then when the time comes they make excuse after excuse, and then they finally say: "Hey Jen, how do I do X?" It's not like we weren't all at that meeting when we were told we need to know X because we will all be doing it. The lady taking notes is older. She writes them on a post-it and plops it on her desk - among DOZENS of other post-its with notes on them, plus she has TONS of papers on her desk! SIGH....

Do you have to help them or be considered "not a team player?" That used to make me crazy.

if I don't help them, my boss will, but this is stuff that she shouldn't be wasting her time on. I feel that one of our duties as underlings is to keep as much extraneous stuff as possible off the boss's to-do list, so I try to do that as much as I can. She has a ton of her own work to do, and on days like these where she's in meetings all day, she doesn't have time to re-teach things we should already know.
