Agree...if u hang around long enough u find out that S**t actually happens... Thing that is unexplainable, after about three years...with what is happening under the Donald...why u and others like u still love and support this guy...just impossible to understand...man reminds me of something most of us scrap off the bottom of our shoes when we misstep....Just saying.

nothing like Trump has happened since 1980.
the most relevant models were probably in the 70's: Nixon (who won), and Carter (who lost).
furthermore, Moody's ONLY takes economics into account. and yeah, it is super important. which is why 2020 won't be a cakewalk for Democrats.
but Moody's overlooks the unique aspects of this presidency. of course. it is a very simplistic model.
kind of like the Super Bowl model.

Trump understands his Deplorables with an almost anthropological eye; he knows they’re not just looking for validation or jobs or a drained Swamp; they’re looking for permission to be as cruel, grotesque, and vicious as he is. He knows they’re addicted now to the way he enables and empowers them to say and do the things they want, regardless of consequence. His brilliant, shitty showmanship is tuned to their Bubba Belt sensibilities; crude, loud, a vulgarian warrior giving them permission to blow up a society leaving them behind. Instantly, Washington has divided into familiar camps. For Trump fans, everyone else in the world is lying, and only Trump speaks the truth. And he’ll always have eager men and women willing to first normalize, then amplify, and then monetize even his most extreme statements and acts. We've alternated between laughter and wide-eyed shock at how credulous Trump’s Army of Cletuses must be to fall for such an obvious, ludicrous con. Then again, Donald Trump put the “con” in “conspiracy” as far back as his embrace of birtherism. -Rick Wilson www.thedailybeast.com/trump-readies-his-mob-for-the-race-war?ref=author

.....and a little more.
On his best day, Trump is a dopey man-child, an egomaniacal narcissist who wears his many tells on his sleeve. Written across Trump’s soft, jowly face is a catalog of his blatantly obvious weaknesses—for flattery, money, sex, and status. He’s a walking catalog of the seven deadly sins, and Trump’s a man with a history of failed negotiations, blown deals, serial bankruptcies, rampant infidelities, wandering-cock syndrome, lousy business outcomes, and general stoogery.
Nailed it!

Why would Republicans continue to support someone who literally handed a US military base over to the Russians & left 50 nuclear warheads in an unstable country after calling for a full retreat by our military? Along with knowing that the retreat would end up releasing ISIS fighters & destroy 10 years worth of work by our military?
It goes against everything the GOP has ever stood for.

I doubt he even knew there were nukes, remember he does not read nor listen.
Doubt if he gave a thought to the military, he has as yet to visit an actual base, he is such a coward. He is smart in that people are to busy texting and tweeting to have long attention spans. And the rest are to busy busting their butts to try and pay attention. So they aren't really hearing how bad he is, just the fox news bites. And how poor little Christian is being so persecuted by us awful liberals.

He visited one base...don't remember where, but it had to be pretty safe cause Melania went with him...he had to impress the troops some way.

It goes against everything the GOP has ever stood for. I assume you are referencing Turkey rather than Syria. Those weapons are under our control in Turkey as part of the Nato Alliance. I have never seen any info that we had nukes in Syria and Syria does not have any. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_with_nuclear_weaponsSince we were pulling troops out of Syria does not mean we automatically pull weapons out of Turkey.

You seem to be sure that enarmored him to the turks and keep his nukes safe, I am somewhat more sceptical though.

Evidently you seem to miss the fact that Turkey is still part of Nato, and the nuclear arsenal is scatted all over the member countries. I agree I do not like the weapons there, and never did, but until Nato and the U.S. make the decision to remove them, it is fair to say they are staying there. Hopefully the Airbase where they are stored has had security tightened up. Based on current circumstances I admit that is something that has not happened.......

Beat me to it. But we don’t need polls or models to know Trump will be re-elected in a landslide. You have to be living in an alternate universe to not see Trump is running unopposed.

As Hillary received more votes than Trump, even though many voters stayed home that were pissed about The Bernie thing, and so many more have been energized by what a despicable sleazeball Trump is, let alone the millions that voted for him that he promptly sold out, my numbers have Trump going down harder than any incumbent in history. And considering your history of massively failed prognostications, you are obviously not afraid to be wrong again.

And considering your history of massively failed prognostications, you are obviously not afraid to be wrong again. Interesting analysis, save for one very important fact: as difficult and challenging as it would seem to have been, the Democrats have managed to field a slew of candidates each of which is even less inspiring than Hillary Clinton. Saying voters are "energized by what a despicable sleazeball Trump is" is pure conjecture- it's your unsupported opinion. Let me give you a real class of voters: the people who were told the stock market would collapse, we'd have a recession, that Trump is a dictator, a racistbigotsexisthomophobexenophobeislamophobe, that he's sleazy, crooked, might be a traitor who colludes with our enemies-- all these people have now seen one hoax after another come and go- including one of my personal favorites- the Turkish attack on the gun range in Kentucky. This latest stunt by Pelosi which she literally tried and failed to pull off back in May isn't helping. These people are all watching as Muh Russia becomes Muh Ukraine without a single trace of transitional irony. These voters are now witnessing the media setting land speed records for the fastest goalpost relocation-- we went from "whistleblower overheard a phone call" to "whistleblower" knew of a phone call to "whistleblower" is immaterial because it's still obstruction- from Trump is a Russian puppet to Trump is a Ukrainian puppet in four hours. The media has moved at breakneck speed from one hoax to the next, the media's coverage of Trump has been so rapid-fire and so apoplectic that the country can't remember which manufactured outrage theater turd CNN just pinched out 15 minutes ago- and by election time, the voters will have chalked all of it up to anti-Trump hysteria. After being duped again and again by one "smoking gun" after another- you aren't gonna get their attention with imaginary impeachment. Here's one for you-- remember when Porn Star Jessica Drake was going to take out Trump? I bet you don't. I do-- because I have a list. I've logged it since the the Chicago GOP primary Trump rally that was canceled due to Democrat violence. I just pulled this one at random. I could give you 80 just like it and not get out of 2016. The Democrats bet it all on impeachment-- they went all in and it blew up. Now, the normal people-- the ones whose 401(k)'s are through the roof, who have jobs, whose wages have risen-- all those people? They're done with Democrats. The signs are everywhere- Dems got completely destroyed in North Carolina, and they just got shellacked in Lousiana-- where the GOP now has a supermajority in the Senate and Trump drove the Democrat governor from 66% down to 47% forcing a run-off. I've never seen anyone in need of humbling more than the Democratic Party- and I trust the American voters to deliver an appropriate response to the last 3 years in November 2020.

I would add, too- that I know a lot of Republican voters who were understandably apprehensive about Trump in 2016 who will now enthusiastically support Trump in 2020. His base has grown-- in fact, Trump enjoys record base support for a Republican. You think Democrats are "energized" and more enthusiastic? I wouldn't take that bet.

After what he just did to our military in Syria...he lost a lot of military votes.....I know a few of those! One of my favorite Trump moves. He forced the Democrats not only to be pro-war, but to be pro-war in fucking Syria of all places. Have fun exciting the Democrat base with the promise not only of more war, but intervention in Syria-- a mess the previous Democrat administration made in the first place.

I just love Gish's Gallup. I have a little time this morning, so I will take it on, this time:
Let me give you a real class of voters: the people who were told the stock market would collapse,
I know of very few people that thought that, and those that did are congenitally stupid. Trump is the most pro-business president since Hoover
we'd have a recession,
we probably will. economic expansions end. that is what happens in capitalist economies.
that Trump is a dictator,
same response as the first one. congenitally stupid thing to say.
a racistbigotsexisthomophobexenophobeislamophobe, that he's sleazy, crooked, might be a traitor who colludes with our enemies
I agree with that one. I take it you don't. color me shocked.

So far Trump is running unopposed. Unless someone not already in the field wins the nomination- I'm thinking Michelle Obama or Howard Schultz- Trump is going to win the 2020 election going away.

I do have faith the US military has sufficient contingencies in an “empty quiver” situation to neutralize the problem. Besides it isn’t like Erdogan could launch them anytime soon not having the launch codes.

True @aj, seizing those nukes would be crossing a red line, but once he has them others need to be willing to risk nuclear war to get them back and Erdowan is not the most rational man. Just saying...

Oh please. He fucked it up royally, sold out our allies in the War On Terror, has even Mitch McConnell calling him out on it, so he reneges on his amazingly poor decision and now it's THE GRAETEST MOST BRILLIANT FOREIGN POLICY MOVE OF ALL TIME!!! Even as 2000 American soldiers get slid into Saudi Arabia.
