the most relevant models were probably in the 70's: Nixon (who won), and Carter (who lost).

furthermore, Moody's ONLY takes economics into account. and yeah, it is super important. which is why 2020 won't be a cakewalk for Democrats.

but Moody's overlooks the unique aspects of this presidency. of course. it is a very simplistic model.

I assume you are referencing Turkey rather than Syria. Those weapons are under our control in Turkey as part of the Nato Alliance. I have never seen any info that we had nukes in Syria and Syria does not have any.

I think Erdogan knows seizing those nukes would be a red line for all of the NATO countries. I do have faith the US military has sufficient contingencies in an “empty quiver” situation to neutralize the problem. Besides it isn’t like Erdogan could launch them anytime soon not having the launch codes.
