Sorry Cheesy...I didn't see this & posted the same thing on the political board.
Are we headed into armed conflict here in the US?

Have we fallen into the realm of crazy? Take a look at what a poster that lives in Oregon posted in my thread over on the political board. Not so bad as some have made it sound evidently.

I went to the Daily Beast to peruse the article in the link, presented by the OP. I was immediately distracted by the neighboring article on the front page. Quote; BLUE BALLS

Funny. I feel the same way about Fox news. Every time I go to the website there is a scantily clad woman with some weird headline.
"She is 54, and STUNS in bikini" "Playmate: A hurricane didn't stop me" "Dress slammed as 'not appropriate'" "Britney finds paradise in bikini" "Ex playmate busted"
I have chalked it up to religious sexual repression, but it could just be human nature.

Exactly ! I really miss the days of actual, non editorialized, hyped up, news. (I'm old) To bad media company upper management, thinks everyone has the attention span of a flea, and needs to turn it into entertainment. To hold the viewers. Are they right ?

I've noticed how Fox digs up criminal infractions by illegal immigrants and marches those headlines across it's site.
"Illegal Immigrant kills bus driver in Omaha." "Illegal Immigrant in High Speed Chase in Tallahassee" "Illegal Immigrant Caught Stealing Purses."
It's like the only crime we have is caused by illegal immigrants.
No wonder Fox viewers think building the Wall will stop crime.

I've heard it said that it will reduce crime done by illegals, ms-13 etc. Never that it will "stop crime". Your premise might need a little adjusting, or who you watch for news.

22% 'true or mostly true' statements on Fox. A little to Pinocchio for me, I'm afraid.

MS 13 crime is pretty area specific. They aren't roaming the gates communities of Conneticut, or even La Jolla or Palo Alto.

I still never heard that it will stop crime, only reduce crime by illegals, including ms-13, etc. Don't know what that has to do with the news networks. They're all alike to me, pandering to a known audience, that is merely looking for what they want to hear. Since you are answering a statement on crime, with a premise on news networks... doesn't seem very fine, more like indoctrinated from other networks ?
