Sounds like something that would happen to me. That really sucks, hope it's something simple and easy to fix.

Sorry lulu: sod needs lots of water. I agree with Dr. Pig, if they can't repair your sprinkler system TODAY, you'll have to get out the hoses. No use letting $1000 in sod die.

Too bad you already had the work done. I saw a commercial for a new seed by Scotts that has everything you need to just it and grow. Would have been cheaper if not as pretty as professionally done.

I just unplugged it and then plugged in back in and now it is working You can adjust the arc right. One sprinkler is hitting the back fence (and some) can that be changed?

Our irrigation system and trying to get even water distribution is a full time job. And that's after living here 7 years. Naggie, you may need a special little gizmo (it looks like a tiny screwdriver) to get the water height changed. I hope you get it worked out! Oh! And be careful screwing the little head up and down because the spring could pop off and go flying and you'll need to replace it. (hee hee - that sounded sexual).

Yes, after 10 years I have discovered we need a little freaking tool. I need "Hunters Specialized rotor tool" asswipes. But it looks like HD has an orbit tool and orbit heads now just to figure out what head I need. I will never give up NEVER SURRENDER to the sprinklers.

CL, I did take a break but it kept sitting on my mind and I got mad (and wet). I mean how difficult could it have been. But alas I screwed up because now the arc is going 180 and I kept forgetting what way I had turned it so I was going back and forth, then I kicked it. Oh and I did pop the cap off. POM - Naughty girl - must be thinking about getting some tonight.

Naggie, I'm LMAO at you kicking the sprinkler head. Years ago when I lived in my condo I was in a raw silk dress and brand new pumps - make up and hair done heading to work. On my way to the car the effing sprinklers popped on and they were all on the sidewalk and not facing the grass. I lived in he back and had to walk around the building. They weren't even supposed to be on that day or at that time and I got so mad because my new shoes were being soaked. So I took my foot to try to move the head away from the sidewalk and the sprinkler sprayed straight up into my face, hair, and all over my dress. It still cracks me up to this day, although I was NOT laughing when it happened. I think people could here me cussing 6 buildings down. So I kind of understand how you feel right now.

Busy mom, we just got a water softener put in and the back faucet is now soft water so I would have to hook the hose to the front faucet and wind it through the house to water the back. So as you can imagine I didn't relish the thought of doing that.
LMAO at POM, I just did the same thing. I saw something where the spray comes out and thought it might be what I needed so I leaned forward to get a closer look at got sprayed in the eye.
