Lindsey Graham proposes invading Venezuela to oust Maduro Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a close ally of President Donald Trump, suggested the president take a tough stance in dealing with the ongoing Venezuelan crisis: A US invasion similar to the one executed by Ronald Reagan in Grenada back in 1983. www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/5/26/18640654/lindsey-graham-trump-invade-venezuela-reagan-grenadaWhat the hell is wrong with you? All you do is invade, invade, invade! Then you complain when you're not well-liked across the globe. Sure, invade because you don't like the ruler. How would you feel if the rest of the planet teamed up to oust YOUR ruler, because he's a dangerous half-wit? You'd be sputtering in self-righteous indignation! The howls of outrage would be heard on the moons of Neptune.

It would be cheaper to invade and take over Venezuela than Iran due to the logistical costs alone. Glad to see Lindsey getting back to his fiscally conservative roots.

He's a complete moron. That's what he has in common with Trump.

... it is in our national security interest ... (from link in the OP) How does the current situation make our nation less secure? How would changing it make our nation more secure? If Cuba does have "at least 20,000 soldiers in Venezuela" tied up trying to keep that country from blowing up, that is 20,000 Cuban soldiers we don't have to worry about invading Key West. And the Venezuelan Army is certainly too busy to be attacking the United States any time soon. I don't know about anyone else, but I am feeling comfortably secure as things are now.

if it did, we would not have watched 1M die in Rwanda, sat back, and yawned.

A US invasion similar to the one executed by Ronald Reagan in Grenada back in 1983. But what will be Trump's Lebanon that will create the need?
