Made an appointment with the physical therapist who got me back on my feet before and it turns out she's only working morning hours. Not only that, the absolute earliest I can get an appointment is next week.
And to add icing to the cake, they've moved the facility off campus and I'll need to drive to it (rather than walk across the street like I did 4 years ago). So I'll lose my coveted parking space and will have no where to park when I get back.
ARGH!
My student, who was so anxious to start on her project has not bothered to either drop by or respond to the emails I've sent her.
And my work computer is screwed up again.

The parking lot God does not exist. Or if he does, he's an evil, evil monster.
The campus, in its infinite wisdom (aka greed), sells 3 parking tags for every parking spot on campus. In the middle of the semester, if you come in after 8ish or before 3, forget about getting a space. Handicap parking is even worse, there are about 10 spaces out in front of my building (which is still a couple blocks away), that wind up getting totally filled by 7:30. Next closest h/c parking is in the parking garage - which is about 6 blocks away and I'll need to cross a couple bad streets (made worse with the students on campus).

If I'm really desperate I take the wife's car and park in visitor parking.

I know where you can get a razor....
To slash tires? Then the cars will NEVER move out of my parking space.
I just went to the grocery store. 2 meals in the cafeteria in one day drove me there. $80 and about 8 bags that took me 2 trips to haul up to the second floor. I'm now utterly exhausted and I still need to put the groceries away, make Gomez's chicken (my cat eats chopped chicken thighs since I"m trying to put weight on him) and figure out what I'm going to cook me for dinner.
I miss my afternoon nap!

I knew it was a scooter, but there are times where the idea of taking a razor to tires gives me a certain amount of pleasure - like when the time the car parked over the line, boxed me out of my car and I had to crawl into my car from the trunk. I was not happy that day, and of course it happened to be the day I had a skirt on!
Gomez has dropped about 1/3 of his body weight in the last year. No known reason, the vet's checked him from nose to tail. No metabolic problems, no thyroid issues, no tumors.
Before I left for WA for my surgery, he ate the better part of the roasted chicken I picked up at Sam's. So I roasted off a dozen chicken legs/thighs, chopped it up and put it in 1/4 aliquots in baggies in the freezer. My catsitter said that Gomez chowed down on that and he wound up buying and roasting off a couple more chickens and chopping them up for catfud.

Actually, it does look like he's put on a little weight, maybe about half a pound (he went from a high of 10 lbs to just under 7), his hip bones aren't jutting out quite so sharply.
That's why there are 4 packages of chicken thighs in my grocery bags that are going to get roasted off tonight.

Yay Gomez!! I'm so happy to hear that he's putting weight back on. I always freak when my cat's lose weight and I tend to keep them on the chunky side just in case they run into a problem.

Gomez still looks a little too scrawny, especially compared to Gizzy. I'll be happier to see at least another lb on him.

Iggy, LOL!!! If you only knew how many people in RL tell me that. They are spoiled rotten. I've had guys ask me if I treated my man as well as I do my cats. ETA: Awww, you remembered.

I know where you can get a razor.... Note to self - swallow whatever you're drinking before reading the next post in any EE thread. Trying to swallow hot chocolate and to not laugh out loud so bossie doesn't hear that you're goofing off again is not only difficult but hazardous. ;D

WOO HOO!!
I've managed to score an appointment with my PT on a cancellation. I'll be out of here in 30 min to run home and get my workout clothes so I can finally start moving again!!
However, methinks I'm going to be on hurting status again this evening. No pain, no gain!

Yeah, I think I'll be taking a dose of aspirin before I go. If that doesn't help, I'll move onto my stronger stuff.
Maybe it is a good thing that I have all those leftover narcotics!
