I think it is unrealistic to think we don't need to do anything to fix the environment. It is painfully obvious that we need to take whatever steps we can to fix the environment.
I am a Democratic voter, I am not too thrilled with the "free" college proposals. As a higher income taxpayer, my kids were not eligible for financial aid or subsidized loans. They do have student loans. All the proposals I hear are for lower income people or for people with subsidized loans.
When DH and I went to college, The states subsidized the Univerity, and attending college was affordable for almost everyone. If you compare the cost of attendance today to the cost 25-35 years ago, there is a staggering difference.
www.cnbc.com/2017/11/29/how-much-college-tuition-has-increased-from-1988-to-2018.html
Same article talks about home much housing costs have increased.
Our kids will not be able to afford to pay for everything we are pushing off onto their shoulders. The answer should not have been Grow the Deficit by lowering taxes on rich people.
That said, my company owns Industrial properties, and the lighting in our buildings is being changed out pretty rapidly b/c the savings by going to LED lighting pretty much pays for itself in just a short time. DH is fixing up one of our rental properties and he came home and told me he has to buy new light fixtures b/c they are so old they were a fire hazard. He says the new LED fixtures have permanent bulbs in them, when they burn out, you don't replace the bulb, you replace the fixture.
We bought three fixtures something like this:

So, I was thinking yesterday that as Americans replace their lighting in their houses, we will be using less energy...so the question becomes should we just move up the implementation of led, or should we just wait for people to change over? I know I was thinking if we change out fixtures in our rental property, I don't benefit from the energy savings, but seriously I was asking myself if I should buy new fixtures for my house. I know DH and I discussed pillar lamps outside, but he seemed to think he could just get LED bulbs for the existing fixtures.

I have a question that I would ask every one of the candidates, running especially under the climate change flag, Since we have all that ice melting from Climate Change,, the oceans are rising rapidly. Where can we go, see a mark on a wall , gauge, or what ever that was put there 100 years ago,,
We can see how much the seas have risen today under exactly the same conditions were when the mark was put there 100 years ago! Till then,, The sky is falling,, the sky is falling,,, hmmmm, remember that story?

Beto has already been dismissed as a legitimate contender for the throne. He was just shamed by the left into returning some campaign money from people who may not align up with the left's agenda. Being of Irish descent does not get it done anymore, especially an Irishman who always is apoligizing for being white and ashamed of his standing in life versus the masses.

Beto's last election loss, doesn't exactly inspire confidence either.

So you're aware of the decreasing value of the dollar. Let me introduce you to something. Quote; Quantitative Easing, Explained.
