Members of the team are saying the report they turned in isn't exactly what Barr reported. I think the New York Times may have been the original source but I saw it on Politico.com and maybe BBC.com The daily did their show about it this morning, and they are the NY Times podcast- so, they are probably the original source.

As I am certainly not the first to note, wind does not cause cancer no matter what any random idiot speaking to the NRCC says. Wind CAN apparently cause brain damage, but only if you listen too closely to the wind coming out of Trump's mouth.

cool. so, it is established that you have no reason for your behavior other than incitement.
duly noted.
I will cease commenting on it, since we both accept that this is what you are doing.

I really REALLY hope you are right DJ. If Trump is re-elected I will completely lose faith in humanity. I'm not as optimistic as you, as I've seen far too many people, even in liberal California, who think he is a gift from god who can do no wrong!

Remember when Hillary was the shoo in, and then lost to Trump ?Oh the knashing of teeth, the vapors, how could that of happened ? Then the big market crash just days after his election, as the pundits forecasted, lol. www.nytimes.com/2016/11/01/business/dealbook/what-happens-to-the-markets-if-donald-trump-wins.htmlBut actually what happened, quote; Presidential elections can have important implications for financial markets based on what traders believe the elected candidate will prioritize while in office. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied more than 450 points in the two days after Trump's election in 2016 and rallied nearly 8 percent into year-end as investors grew confident in future corporate tax reform and big spending.www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/70-percent-of-wall-street-thinks-trump-will-be-reelected-in-2020/ar-BBVEgYM?li=BBnbfcL

Wall Street doesn't impress Main Street. And from where I stand on Main Street the boys of Wall Street are often at odds with reality. Yet all of main street thinks about their retirement portfolios.

Yet all of main street thinks about their retirement portfolios. Some of my portfolio is with the street, and it does make me nervous, because it's a viper's den. Much of my retirement is actually on Main Street, and a lot of people I know are the same way. It makes sense to invest in what you know, ya' know? Yes it does.

but as someone posted above, Wall Street thought she would win by a larger margin than they think Trump will win by this time.
so, they pretty much suck in the prediction game, I think we can safely say.

it's based on statistics, and likely voter patterns.
there was every indication that 2016 would be close. as of TODAY, there is no indication 2020 will be.

Wasn't a nail biter for me. I thought Trump didn't have a chance I didn't even bother watching the results coming in that night. Just checked the news in the morning and was surprised who won.

Nope, X and I were listening to the media,, in which everyone except Fox, had all ready decided that Hillary was the new President,,
I was also sure Hillary was going to be the next President,, There was a post here some where the other day about even the Stock Market thought Hillary would win, like 80% thought she would win. Like I said before , My vote was against Hillary not for Trump. Some thing (My guess) like 80% of the poster here thought Hillary had already won the day before the election.

were you holding hands while you did it?
suggestion: stop listening to the media. just watch the polls. you can do it as well as they do.

I wouldn't put too much stock into today's statistics. There are a lot of people who may vote for some imagined version of some of the people who are running against him. But wait until they pick one, and a chunk of voters fall away. And then the nominee is on TV continuously saying stuff that people don't understand, dont like or contradicts something else, another chunk will lose their stomach for them. And then the Trump machine will make up a bunch of shit about them. And another group will not want to take the chance that it may be true. And then a third party steps in. Trump is going to be difficult to beat.

And then the Trump machine will make up a bunch of shit about them. And another group will not want to take the chance that it may be true. And then a third party steps in. Trump is going to be difficult to beat. "It's the economy stupid" Those words are as true today as they were in 1992. Now trump certainly has some baggage that GHWB did not have, but strangely enough, he also has some freakish support that Bush did not enjoy. Barring some other crazy development- and with trump that is always a possibility- the economy will be the most important single factor. That is a big plus for trump (even though he inherited it from Obama) The trump baggage, combined with a very strong Dem candidate and high voter turnout, will likely be the only way to win if all else is in stasis. Yes, the economy is going to be key for Trump.
The thing is, Presidents don't single handedly control the economy, although they love to take credit for good ones. The global economy is struggling right now, and if ours also takes a dive (and there are indicators it might be headed for a recession cycle) things will get hard for Trump, who sold himself as a savvy businessman who would ramp up the economy and money would 'pour' into the country.
I think healthcare will be a close second, though. Trump promised 'cheap and wonderful' healthcare for everyone, to replace Obamacare. Unfortunately, the GOP has had ten years to come up with a 'cheap and wonderful' alternative to Obamacare, and hasn't come up with anything. When Trump again tried to repeal Obamacare just recently, it was such a turd of an idea that the GOP members of congress revolted on him, and Trump had to backtrack and claim he will be secretly coming up with a 'cheap and wonderful' healthcare plan that he'll unveil AFTER he gets elected again.
There will probably be at least a few voters who remember Trump promised a 'middle class tax cut' in the midterms, and then promptly forgot about it. It's going to be a lot harder for Trump in 2020, when he has to run on his actual record, and not on his unicorn predictions - especially if the economy does enter into a slump before then.

"It's the economy stupid
The Dow was 18233 on Nov 8, 2016. And it's 26,297 today.
And unemployment, GDP, jobs returning ti US, yada, are all breaking records.
Kinda hard to call that 'failure'. As for Trump's so-called 'failed promises' on social issues - they were mostly caused by Dem Obstructionism in Congress.
