Fumbling fingers caused it to fall upside down and shatter the glass cover.
I reading a few things quickly one site said I have to take it to an Apple store.
Anyone have any experience with this issue?

The costs of screen repair are so prohibitive it makes sense to get a new watch: support.apple.com/watch/repair/service/pricingI have a friend that owns a store that does phone screen replacement but said he wouldn’t do watch screen replacement because it is a huge, costly pain in the butt, he also said most repair shops won’t do the watches. If you want to have screen replacement covered on your next watch you would need Apple care plus which covers two incidents at a $69 service fee. I don’t have it, I get a new watch every year and would use my year old one till the next model came out if I broke the screen or lost my newest one. www.apple.com/support/products/watch.html

The watch is running fine, financed it thru Verizon for 2 years @ $22/mo . I've made 1 payment. I was thinking of just using it until I've made 12 payments then buy a series 5 when they come out next winter. I too think it's not worth the $349 to have it repaired. Or, I could buy a series 4 like I have when the 5s come out and save a little more.

Oh dear!😥😪😓
Did you purchase Apple Care? Check with the Apple Store - they can work miracles and should be able to help you one way or another. You may even be able to buy Apple Care as you've had it less than what - 90-60-30 days? Also, check with Verizon - you probably have coverage on it as it is financed. They too have done miracles for me in the past.

I was going to try Verizon tomorrow. One payment and 60 days I think.

Sucks that happened when it’s so new but definitely agree to contact Verizon and Apple.

Verizon hit a home run for me this afternoon. Too long to go into details, but I will have insurance to cover the broken glass cover and in turn with paying a deductible I will receive a new watch from Apple.
I will also be trading in an old iPhone 5 and a really old Apple iPad to help cover the costs. Just call me one happy camper!!!!! And once again the good Lord helped me when I least expected it.
