""BNEF analyzed pricing data from almost 7,000 power projects in 46 countries that span 20 energy technologies, including coal, gas, nuclear, battery storage, solar photovoltaics (PV), and wind.""
So -- did you join their little group? Thinkprogress.org? For only $15 or $25 per month you can help. This is a big part of the Climate problem, groups like this flood the electorate with misinformation and dilute that actual scientific process.

Phil5185,
Would you be willing to debunk the 'almost 7,000 power projects in 46 countries that span 20 energy technologies' analization or just continue to bang the drum for nukes?

Cheap, safe renewables mean government won't have to tax, ban, subsidize, or legislate to get consumers to convert. I look forward to an imminent end to all those things.

Says the guy who claims France has solved its nuclear problem, when nothing could be further from the truth.

They report that electricity prices “for onshore wind, solar PV and offshore wind have fallen by 49 percent, 84 percent and 56 percent respectively since 2010.” Costs for lithium-ion battery storage have dropped 76 percent since 2012 — and plunged 35 percent in the past year alone. Would you be willing to debunk the 'almost 7,000 power projects in 46 countries that span 20 energy technologies' analization or just continue to bang the drum for nukes?
The fact that the electricity prices have fallen on their experiments is of little value if they are unable to produce at commercial volume. Altho wind is doing fairly well - it provides about 8% of our power and the cost has come down 49% . And the cost of lithium storage has dropped by 76%, that is important for the electric car industry and that is a major factor in Climate change (way more important than for solar storage).
BTW, have you noticed the amazing upgrades in the lithium batt power of tools lately? A modern cordless weed whacker, chain saw, drill, etc, will now compete with their corresponding gas powered unit.

why do you have to insert a meaningless derogatory statement on solar into any notation on other important factors? It sounds like this: - Hey - these potatoes taste great - way better than those peas you made last week!
- Maybe vegetables are more tasty than I thought they were, I like the roasted carrots tonight. But peas, never!
- ooh - the asparagus looks good! glad you didn't make those peas again!
Just stop with the peas. Unless peas are actually being served.
