because pictures are random and climate is not. Hey, if I was a "Scientist" that had an agenda, I could put that line on that chart, in that computer, in a drawing,
any where I want because I know that "All" of my colleagues have the same agenda.. Kinda like "all the Arctic ice will be gone by 2012",,, or "All the Polar Bears are starving,, dying" red herring. I never mentioned "scientists", charts, or computers in my reply.

Scientist, especially Global Warming Scientist, are like police departments, They report what they want, protect each others backs, would investigate themselves, have no accountability!! If you put out something different than their doctrine,,, they fire you!! As is the person that put out how the Polar Bears are thriving,, instead of the Global Warming Doctrine , the ice is melting the bears are dying!!!!!

I'm looking pretty hard at those pictures. You can kinda see where the high tide mark is on each of them. I do believe the line is 2 inches higher on the most recent picture.

Never said you did, My comment was scientist who use their imagination , when making up their conclusions. right. and I never said "scientist". so you started a new topic, pretended like it was a response to my post, and then drew your own conclusion without any basis.
were you talking to me, or someone else in the room?

Up to 170 record temps this week,,Wow that's amazing!!! Like we never had record temps before!! Like I said before, When we have professionals that can't make a proper cost estimate on a a project weeks, months, or a couple of years out, with tangible facts!
Yet, I am expected to believe professionals?? that at best could use a Ouija Board. and be more accurate, make predication 25, 50 75, of 100 years out totally based on intangible facts.

With 300 expected record cold temperatures, why is not called Global Cooling??
Warning of an impending Ice Age if we don't immediately throw billions of $$$$$$ at it!!! Hmmmm, this is sooooo confusing, All of the Arctic ice is supposed to be gone,, yet, we get record cold temps??
With Global Warming shouldn't be much hotter in the Winter?? With all of the water now tied up in ice ,, should we be worried about the sea levels dropping?? Wow, all of this is so hard to understand,, I mean like we have never had record temperatures ever before.

As for the cold blast that is doing it's thing right now...well, all that ice melt in the artic now has nothing to stop the cold air from coming south. But I realize it is difficult for some people to separate "weather" & "climate" to understand.

Not 'global warming.'
Climate change meaning sudden, erratic, unseasonal and extreme weather events.
About to break 300 records - one place in Texas changing by 70 degrees in 24 hours - you should be concerned about this news, not making silly jokes about it.

It's Climate CHANGE, which leads to weather extremes across the globe.

where did the one hundred, five hundred, and thousand year flood plains come from when most of the time the weather now does not even come close to those levels!

Yesterday, today, maybe tomorrow not so much. Is Phoenix temps getting higher , sure. The question is why, back when they started recording temp here, The airport where the temps are recorded was surrounded by fields of crops and green desert. Today it is surrounded by billions of tons of asphalt, concrete, freeways, big buildings, all of which capture and hold the heat that years ago was absorbed by the green crops! So is Phoenix heat man caused?
Yea,
Global warming , not so much.

I don't think Phoenix in a unique city in the fact that they have lost significant amounts of plants and greenery and replaced it with asphalt and concrete. If human poured asphalt increased temperatures in Phoenix, isn't that true of all the other cities? So, multiply the human caused Phoenix warming by 4,000 (or how many ever cities are in the world) and wouldn't that heat be cumulative?

So Phoenix has only had the one thermometer, and it's always been where it is now?
Sad. I live in a city smaller than Phoenix and we have like 30 official data collection sites just in our metro area.

Official weather recording station, no, they recently moved it, it was sitting in the middle of a heat island.

Did nature create all those heat islands or did man have a hand in it.

Heat is heat no matter the origin. Neither of the two items is the 'origin'. Quote; Thermal radiation, also known as heat, is the emission of electromagnetic waves from all matter that has a temperature greater than absolute zero. It represents the conversion of thermal energy into electromagnetic energy. Thermal energy consists of the kinetic energy of random movements of atoms and molecules in matter. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_radiationWith that in mind. Quote; In his book, \"A New Kind of Science,\" Stephen Wolfram wrote, “Around 1850 Rudolf Clausius and William Thomson (Lord Kelvin) stated that heat does not spontaneously flow from a colder body to a hotter body.” This became the basis for the Second Law. www.livescience.com/50941-second-law-thermodynamics.html With that added, all the heat transferred to the earth, comes from our sun. For us on this planet, the only origin.
