I doubt this. Mueller could care less if he gets fired at this point. He knows Congress has his back at this point. You have to get over collusion from the Trump family with Russia. The real problem Trump's campaign had was they were so oblivious to campaign law and how politicans have to follow procedure. Trump has always been his own boss and I am sure he thought he could do lots of things that are not allowed by law. I am very impressed by the simple fact he has not been caught violating the Federal laws just becaue he probably did not know the laws and ran the campaign on a shoestring without real political campaign managers to keep him out of trouble. It is quite an amazing accomplishment when you think about it. Not been caught YET.
There are currently three different attorney generals investigating how he ran his inauguration events. He spent twice what anyone else spent and had less to show for it - DC is investigating if he double dealed himself (charged his committee high prices for the ball rooms), and Manhattan and NJ are both investigating whether he raised the money legally, especially whether he took money from foreign donors, which is illegal.
They're still subpoenaing documents for all three investigations - and yes, I agree that he probably got himself in trouble on those due to not being knowledgeable about the applicable laws, and not bringing in experienced political people to run the events for him. Ignorance of the law isn't a defense, however.
Unethical maybe,,, Illegal??

It also occurred to me that he could be sealing indictments that would trigger his firing.
IE: the arrest of Don, Jr.

There's the emoluments clause, and there's also strict requirements that non profits have to follow.
For instance, if you have a vegetarian restaurant, and you're the local PETA chapter chairman. You offer to sponsor the PETA grand annual gala - guests will pay $100 per plate to attend. You'll charge back your PETA chapter for rental of the restaurant and food. You decide that will cost you $99 per person, even though the average dinner at your restaurant costs, at most, $40 per plate.
You have 100 people pay 100 bucks each to participate, and the PETA chapter gets a grand total of $100 from the event. You get $9900 for food and restaurant rental.
That's illegal - you're charging way over the market value for the services you provided. Which is what Ivanka did, in the inauguration celebrations - charged way more for her daddy's ballroom and hotel rooms than a normal customer would pay.

And it is my understanding that is what Trump is currently doing when he travels to his resorts. The contingent of Secret Service people and aids are housed and fed at the Trump resorts for a fee which is over the going market rate. And the rental of golf carts, chairs, podiums (podia?) tents, and whatever else are used for events are also rented at above market rate. He's making money off being President.

Yes-Trump tried to overcharge the SS to rent a floor in Trump Tower - SS decided instead to rent some butt ugly office trailers and park them on a side street, I think eventually Trump negotiated some kind of discount rate so the SSI could use Trump Tower offices at a reasonable rate.
Grifter.

Well, you kind of have to be, when you're a shitty businessman and your projects keep going bankrupt or belly up.
Someone has to pay for the jet set lifestyle when you've blown through daddy's 400 million. The arm candy wives and serial GFs won't hang around for a pork and beans existence.

I wish Trump a similar fate.
