Yes it will affect the average American....they better understand the consequences even if they would rather remain ignorant...Needed , different support of Politicians...Right now the Donald is in the hot seat...while promising to reduce it...has done nothing to try to do so, ratherdoing a good job of increasing it.... I am ure as the debt becomes something media starts spending time on, he will be pointing the blame at our previouse POTUS and politicians...not take any responsibilities for like two years of military spending of over $700 Billion...reducing corporate income tax's..yes some civilien ones two but that part only temporary and as seen , not that great a reduction...but as said, none of this debt is his fault. He will say so , so it must be true....correct?
======================== "There are a few reasons. The most recent can be attributed to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). According to estimates by the CBO, TCJA will add $1.9 trillion to the national debt. Congress also increased spending on the military and domestic programs in a spending bill that topped $1.3 trillion dollars. But that isn’t all. An aging population has increased spending healthcare, while retiring Baby Boomers put a strain on Social Security.
The national debt has become a runaway train that can be easy for the average American citizen to ignore. -------------------------------------------

Ta-da ta-da, ta-da ta-da ta-da, ta-da-da-daaaaaa-dum!
The conservatives that were up in arms about the national debt under Obama are now busy watching Pink Panther. “We know not what you speak of!”

I guess I am a bit thick...I don't see a paydown being reported but a increase...very big and growing rapidly of the debt...Please clear it up and explain how the debt is being reduced...I am open to being shown...even one normally associated with more a tendency to .
