Now you know why I'm here in between dusting and vacuuming.

Watch Net Flicks or some DVD's...or stream from your computer.
I avoid vacuuming like the plague.

I'm rarely home during the week, unless I'm sick - in which case, I'm sprawled on the couch fading in and out of consciousness. I usually tune in to things like Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, that sort of thing. it's my reality check that I've got a long way to go before I am not a good person.

I'm home recovering from the cold that my STUPID CO-WORKERS passed around at work. Since I can't really take anything, resting is my only option. Good thing is that I'm starting to finally feel better. This morning I was watching On Demand programs that I missed during the week. Now that I just finished lunch, I'm going to try and find articles for my term paper.

Almost all TV sucks, which is why I have no service.

You couldn't be Peggy cause you support your husband and you would take interest in your kids!

I would rather sleep through those daytime, and most nighttime, shows.

It really does suck. I normally watch all the judge shows. Makes me feel better about my life.

The only day time TV I watch (when I do) is reruns of The Closer at 2pm on TNT.

moneyjenny - I just upgraded my cable and we now have On Demand - but I can't figure out how to make it work and the instructions in the little booklet we got don't explain it very well.
I hate daytime TV! All those talk shows, judge shows (at least they're good for a laugh), reruns of second rate shows. Ugh!

I don't understand on Demand either. I'm very technically challenged.

I just press the "On Demand" button, and the rest is pretty self-explanatory.

Is it just me or can you almost feel brain cells dying when you watch daytime tv?

Our on-demand is difficult because I can't figure out how the menus are set up. There is the free zone, but then there is other stuff that is also free. Plus, if you have a certain level of service there is other stuff available. Then, some of it is pay per view - but it doesn't say that until you actually go to watch it. Then there is a bunch of stuff that I can't see at all, but the menus are still there, and I don't know if that is available until I actually choose it.
I'm sure if I spent some time actually working with it and trying to figure it out, I would get it - but it is much easier to just go to Hulu. It is basically the same programs (latest 4 episodes) but with a search engine and you can sort and stuff.

Yeah thyme - ours seems the same as yours. I'll have to get DH to figure it out as he's much more technically savvy than I am. I happened to hit a button on the remote last night and couldn't figure how to get back to my program. He walked into the room and said "just hit the *** button"! Aargh!
There's a free zone, and other zones that are free and the little booklet says if you press the "on demand" button you'll get the free on demand stuff, but nothing happens when I do that.
I guess I have to call Cox again about that. I hate Cox, but they're the only cable available. My neighbors have Dish and are thinking about switching back to Cox.
