Romance? Him doing dishes or cleaning something up without being asked.

I'm lucky, DH does do housework, but only certain things will get done without me asking him to. I've gotta get him to mow the yard tomorrow before it's a foot tall. <<sigh>>

That kid in the bottom right freaks me out. WTF is he doing?? OMG LMAO!!! I think he's showing you his winky. My idea of romance, besides showing me your winky is similar to what Rose said. DH is not romantic at all. He is a blaring of rock and roll music, loud voices, klutz, but he's all mine. But he is great at bringing little presents that he knows I will love - like my favorite chocolates (of that month) or dessert, or flowers... for no reason (that I know of). He also is great at doing things for me. I don't think I've pumped my own gas in over 20 years. I wouldn't even know how! He takes my car in to get detailed - stuff like that that he knows are important to me.

My idea of romance is us just being home alone and doing something for him to show him that I appreciate everything he does.
DH is usually very thoughtful and does things for me for no reason. This weekend I was sick and he went grocery shopping and he bought me some of my favorite chocolates. How sweet!
For Valentine's Day, he sent me roses, but they were two miniature rose bushes in a planter. He knows I love gardening and knew that I could plant them outside once the weather warmed up.

I'm not particularly romantic (surprise, NOT) but I have sent Mich some flowers and goodies at times and I bought her an IPOD touch when she was here for no particular reason.
Okay, so it was really in my self interest as she kept drooling over my Touch and wanting to borrow it when I went to work. Hello??, I bought it to keep track of my work schedule, it doesn't do that job well when it's at home with her. Mich would just reply "details, details".

I'm with IG and CL - for me its romantic when I don't find a sink or dishes or laundry waiting when I get to the BF's on Friday. The cherry on top is when he tells me ahead of time not to go in the kitchen at all before he gets home.

I also like lunch dates when he comes to see me at work and we have lunch, it's the easiest time to get away from the kids and have a little time to ourselves.

I think it is romantic when DH reaches for my hand when he is driving. Or when he brings me home a box of Whole Food truffles just because he saw them and new I would love them. I don't need candles and roses (actually I am not a fan of roses at all), but I do enjoy the little things.

Oh, it's a mid size sedan and I'm not that big that I wouldn't fit into a car. I'm not that tall.

I'm not particularly romantic (surprise, NOT) I don't believe you for a minute. You had mich come stay with you as she recouped from the hip surgery. And you're not married or anything so it's not like you had to

Yeah, but when the doctor mentioned she could do some light exercising but don't overdo it I suggested she could vacuum.
Luckily I made sure I was outside the range of the crutch of death.

It's so cute when you try to play all macho. Now tell us, who actually did the vacuuming?
