You did an impressive amount, bean29. I had to laugh at your description of getting sidetracked with raking/not raking, decluttering and paperwork. I think that's my life!

The audit has to be turned around timely or they can cancel the Work Comp policy, so I need to get it done. I really need to file my paperwork in the basement. I want to work on it a few nights a week. I have made progress, I just need to keep at it.
DH's office assistant was not coming in today. He cut the grass, but he did not put the fertilizer down. I was going to do that this weekend too, but when he said he was coming home to cut the grass, I left it for after the grass was cut, as the instructions on the bag recommended you cut the grass first. Now we just have to try to get the fertilizer down before the snow flies and sticks. It is supposed to snow tonight.

This is just while they are painting and while the paint dries right? If you have a sedan put them in the trunk of your car shortly before they come to your place. Wrap them in towels if they need padding/ protection I have a hatchback, but I am thinking this might work. One is too big to go in the hatchback of a Honda Fit, but the others will be fine. Thanks for the idea. So you are down to the one large picture. I read this while still at home. On my way in to work I was behind a Honda Fit and all of a sudden it hit me (yeah I know, my mind takes mysterious "side trips"): the one picture that is too large for your car → put it face down on your bed the day of. If it is too large to easily handle by yourself, ask one of the painters to help you put it there. After they are done you can just hang it right back
Now back to my regular program: I have a meeting to prepare for that wil start in 40 minutes...

You are amazing, my friend. I managed to hang the photo, but it is too large for the hatchback so I can put it on the bed and cover it so Lucy doesn't do anything too crazy. I'm guessing she will hide under the bed, but you never know. The painters are going to have to move the large empty book case and a desk. They need more hands than I have so the hardwood floors don't get scratched. I've put some of the smaller photos in closets and cupboards. Only 3 more shelves to go and I'm avoiding them. My mind works like yours--especially when I rode the bus to work.

Only one shelf left to put the stuff in a box. I realized as I came inside from taking out the trash, there are shoes that I need to put away also.
Some of the shoes have not been worn for years. I will either toss or donate those.

Hi everyone! It was another successful Halloween party, so much so that folks said they are already planning next year's costumes! 5 people stayed overnight, and one of our guests cooked breakfast while the rest of us sleepily watched, some after just 5 hours of sleep, LOL. After breakfast they helped clean up the basement, including numerous trips upstairs with dishes, leftovers, half empty bottles of adult beverages, etc. After everyone left, throughout the day I loaded and unloaded the dishwasher twice, and did 3 loads laundry. Though still tired, I want to get more things completed tonight after work including hand washing dishes and serving trays, and more laundry.

Getting very emotional. My BFF turns 60 tomorrow. We used to call each other every year on our birthdays. We stopped a few years ago because birthdays are always hectic. Now we call each other that week (but NOT on our actual birthdays) so we can really catch up. We also text and email a lot. L is EXACTLY one month older than me. We grew up in the same building in Queens NY. We met when our moms met, when L was 1 month old and I was born. They used to walk us together. My mom died MANY years ago, L's mom died earlier this year (after being in a home for many years with dementia.). Neither L nor I remember meeting the other, we were both always together, pretty much from birth.

We will be getting several nights of freezing temps so tonights after work project was getting the trailer ready. It is still at DD's. I was hoping that DSIL would haul it back to my house, and more importantly back it into the driveway for me, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Tonight I drained what was left of the water in the water tank and emptied the sewer and gray water. Fortunately DD/DSIL have a way to the tanks at their house. I also opened up the cabinet doors and set up a space heater. Then DGD and I played in the trailer for a short while. DD invited me to dinner but I wanted to get home before it got too dark and too cold.

I am amazed that I kept so much non-essential stuff. Spent some time the last two days and managed to get rid of quite a bit. Several other items will be leaving the house later this week and only than be added to my totals. Still have a lot of things to go through just have to make time to do so.

I finally sorted through and counted all of the items I pulled when I cleaned up DS2's room after his birthday party. 115 items are out the door, whether to be donated or listed to sell on FB (the clothing). That puts my count for the year at: 1,094/2,019!

Thank you friends. Great progress Moneysquirrel and Nikiz! This week- bottle bank/Mon - see A/Mon - replace drawer front (DH)/Tues
- pharmacy/Tues
- make haircut/color appt/Tues
- 2 1 online video/ Tues+? - doctor x 2/Wed Another super quiet day. DH finally installed the new drawer front today. Our "new" kitchen is only 3.5 years old, and that damaged drawer front was really bothering me. I'm very glad it's done. (The old kitchen was 32 years old when we replaced it so the new kitchen is still VERY new to us lol.)

The book shelf is clean! Nothing on it and there is a box in my car to drop off at Goodwill tomorrow.
I'm taking dad on his errands tomorrow because it's supposed to snow tomorrow evening in to Thursday and I am not taking him on ice this winter.
Still need to do the shoes, but that won't take but a few minutes.

Tonights after work chore wasn't much. I stopped by Mom's on the way home from work to make sure her garbage can was out for tomorrow. It is colder than normal for us and it quite windy which makes it seem even colder. Mom had gotten her can to the curb but I went and got her mail for her and then visited with her a bit. Also took a couple things out to the garbage that she had forgotten earlier.

Dropped off the box at Goodwill. Decluttering goal for 2019 has been met!!!! I did come home in tears. Dad was so out of it. He wasn't even dressed for the day when I got there and he said he had been up since 5 AM. We had to buy birthday cards for grandson, great grandson and great granddaughter. He only recognized the name of the great granddaughter. Breaks my heart.

Hugs TheO This week (updated)
- doctor x 2/Wed - 1 online video/? - call for dentist appts (for me + DS3)/Thurs Turns out I have osteoporosis, so I need to go back to the doctor. I thought I was done with doc appts for now.
Back to work tomorrow.
ETA: Remember that new male gyn I really liked? Found out he's an elected official for the extreme right, and he's made borderline anti-semitic comments to the press. So I need to decide whether to go back one more time so I can start treatment for my osteoporosis ASAP, or find a new gyn again, which will take months. I'm even tempted to go back to my (very old) gyn but that's just kicking the can down the road.

Debt could you get back into the old gyn to start the treatment? And start looking for a replacement doctor?
I figured out I do not need an oil change. They set the reminder to 5000 not 7500. I figured out how to reset it and make that annoying light go away.
My kitchen table is unburied. Still need to change the tablecloth. The entry way has been cleaned up. I feel like I'm catching up and can make headway. We will see what happens this weekend.
I had my physical last week and did blood work today. I'm all caught up on doctor appointments now.

Go back, get your treatment started and look for a new GYN. No reason for his nastiness to put your health at risk. Going back to your old GYN would not be helpful as s/he would make it yet another person that would become involved in treating your osteoporosis. Good luck in finding a new GYN who is also a good person

TheO, I'm so sorry. What does your sister say about him, since she's seeing him more often these days? She seemed shocked about the things I told her. She said he was doing well yesterday. Maybe I notice things because I only see him once a week? I just talked to the painter. We're going to firm up a date early next week. I guess I didn't make it clear that I was going to start getting things ready and now I'm ready. The company I originally contacted sent an email. It's been over a month and only asks if I am still interested in them doing the work. No, I am not.

Debt could you get back into the old gyn to start the treatment? And start looking for a replacement doctor?wvugurl26 I considered that but ultimately decided it wasn't helpful to just kick the can down the road. She is literally in her mid-80s, which is why I wanted a new gyn in the first place. I really envy you on being caught up with your doc appts LOL! Thank you NastyWoman , that is exactly what I have decided to do. I can deal with him one more time, and then move on, since it's in MY best interest. TheO I think it's probably normal that your dad has good days and bad days at his age. But your sister still seems to be in denial about the bad days.
ETA: The server at the imaging place was down today, so either DH or I have to go back to pay/pick up my health card/pick up the reports. But both of us are at work all day tomorrow, and it's a holiday weekend, so they close early. Fri is a holiday so they're closed Fri and Sat too. So I won't be able to pay/pick up my health card/the reports till sometime next week.
I was initially REALLY pissed off that they didn't inform me of this beforehand. I would definitely have cancelled those appts rather than have to go back again to pick everything up if I had been informed. In the end I decided not to complain, because those two exams are finally done, and I saw the radiologist.
