I'm just curious. Mich has an opal ring I gave, very nice color to the opal. She's commented a few times about the number of compliments she has received on it.
That's not the only piece of jewelery I have given her but it seems to be her favorite. What piece of jewelery would you be really upset if you lost?

I was really upset when I lost the stone out of my birthstone ring in January. I had it reset once and didn't realize it was that loose again. It came from one of those tourist traps gem mines in NC so actual value wasn't much. Went with grandma and aunt/uncle. Grandma was happy I went with her and she bought me the ring. I have matching stud earrings still. So I'm back to the hunt for a ruby ring I like. Very few jewelry stores carry rubies and those that have them are likely lab created or pink. I'm not against lab created if its red but I'm not buying a pink one.

TD's given me a lot of jewelry, but he's right, the opal ring he gave me is my favorite and I'd be very upset if something happened to it.
Some of the other jewelry he's given me I wear at different times - usually when I dress up more - since it's a bit more formal. But for just bumming about in jeans, my watch, the ring and a pair of simple white gold hoops are what I usually wear.

I have an opal ring I love too - a black opal which has more brilliant colors than white opals. Maybe that's what Mich's is. I also have a diamond pendant that's a favorite piece.

Diamond stud earrings that were a gift from my parents are probably my favorite overall. The only other earrings I wear are silver hoops. My favorite necklace is a braided brown leather cord with a sterling silver shamrock charm. It's short and the charm rests at the hollow of my neck. It suits my casual style and I think cost all of $8 on clearance at Target several years ago. When I dress up, I usually wear inexpensive costume jewelry. I have some nicer jewelry but rarely wear it - gifts from an ex and, I dunno, it just feels funny so they stay tucked away.

I have a matching Tiffany necklace and bracelet that I wear almost every day, since I got them for my bday in 2007. I would be very sad to lose those. But the worst was when my youngest DD lost my wedding ring. I had a panic attack. Luckily I found it the next day. DH also bought me some diamond earrings for this past bday, I would be devastated to lose those as well. All of the rest of my jewelry is trendy costume jewelry, so no big deal there.

What piece of jewelery would you be really upset if you lost? Wedding ring! Not the most expensive, but the most loved.

A single black pearl necklace set in white gold with a small diamond. I've broken the chain twice, once I found it on the couch, the other time it fell in my bra. I got a slightly thicker chain for it the last time it broke. I bought it after I graduated college and the divorce was final, first thing I bought for myself and did it as kind of a celebration. Got it on 90% clearance online (or something like that). A couple months ago I got battery acid on it at work Now the pearl has a "dead" spot and has lost its shine and (it had a purple/blue/green iridescence when looking at it from different angles). Now I'm on the search for a new black pearl to set in the pendant, and still completely bummed about ruining it

I've seen black opals before, this isn't one of those. This is a white opal and it's got the most fire I've ever seen in an opal.

First and foremost would be my wedding ring. I also have a sapphire and diamond ring that my parents bought for me on their travels to India years and years ago.

Almost forgot - I have late DH's wedding band w/5 small diamonds on a chain, but don't wear it too often. It's tucked away in jewelry box. I'm thinking of getting it made into a pendant of some kind.

First and foremost my wedding ring. Second marriage.
When my father passed a year ago I inherited a man's silver and turquoise watch band that was my uncle's, and I would be very sad to lose that.
' late DH's wedding band'
This is what I did with our rings after my Bill died. I had all three rings melted down and made into 2 pendants for the g-dtrs. On the back of each are our initials and wedding date. I'm selfish but I didn't want anyone else to wear them as rings. Now they are in the cedar chest and will go to the g-dtrs after my death.

DW has quite a bit of very nice jewelery but I don't think she has a favorite. Most of the time she doesn't where any at all.

He lost his white gold with 4 or 5 diamonds pink-e ring years ago! I think he purchased it in his twenties. Afterward, then he purchased some gold with 4 or 5 diamond pink-e ring! it not the same he still misses the original

I don't wear a lot of jewelry, but I do wear my wedding set every day. I would freak if I lost it. It is my second set. We upgraded my set at 5 years. I don't plan on ever upgrading again. I still have my original set and I would be upset if I lost that one too even though I don't wear it anymore.

Either my gold medallion with the male symbol, or my gold diamond studded grill where the diamonds spell out the word "playa".
I haven't decided which.

Hate jewelry. Only thing I've ever worn was wedding band. I was super upset when I lost it. It was lost for about 2 years I went out and bought a new one and found the old one in a baseball glove when I went to play catch with my son!

My wedding wing. I lost it once. Not sure if the wife will stay with me if I lose it again.

I'd be upset if I lost my wedding bands, especially since the wedding band itself belonged to my great grandmother.
Then I would be devestated if I lost my grandma's ruby ring, it's a diamond band with an overlay of rubies. I recieved it upon her death and I'd be crushed if it got lost.
I wouldn't be devestated but I'd be really peeved if I lost the necklace I am currently wearing. DH got it for me for my birthday, it is a "key to my heart" with the word "mom" in the middle.

I have a pearl ring my parents gave me for Christmas when I was 16 that I would be devastated to lose. I stopped wearing it several years ago because as I got older it became to large and I didn't want to mess with having it resized. I found an empty ring box at the BF's house when I was cleaning out the dresser so I took that for my ring and locked it in my firesafe with a ring he gave me the second time we dated in 1997.
The only ring I wear now is the one that has my children's birthstones. I would hate to lose it, but since the stones are all simulated, replacing it wouldn't be a huge deal.

I love Opals! Very beautiful stones.
I would be most upset if I lost my wedding ring. I love it for obvious reasons and it's also the most expensive piece of jewelry I own.

Two white gold rings from my Mom. They belonged to two of her aunts. One has a diamond and the other a ruby. I get a great deal of compliments on them. I've even had two or three offers to buy them. They're beautiful and I'm happy to be the third generation to wear them.
