I'd give my eye-teeth to have this experience. A curious pod of killer whales swam alongside a New Zealand woman for several minutes in an amazing viral video. Judie Johnson was swimming along the shores of Hahei Beach, New Zealand on Dec. 4 when the three orcas approached her -- close enough for a bite -- swam underneath and around her. Drone footage captured the encounter, in which Johnson alternates between strokes while the whales curiously watch. www.ctvnews.ca/lifestyle/caught-on-camera-orca-trio-swims-alongside-n-z-woman-1.4215132

Holy Moly! VERY cool! How lucky to have the experience captured by a drrone!
They were crazy close! Esp the biggest one. I kept thinking it touched her as I watched the video. I wonder if I would have become afraid and swum for shore, or if I'd kept going, like she did.
I think I would have been more afraid if they were sharks. I like whales. But they were so big and so close! Amazing!

I can’t imagine what that would be like. I would be thinking of footage I’ve seen of killer whales beaching themselves to grab seals and dragging them out to throw around and eventually kill. Glad these ones were just curious.

Orcas in the wild are not known for attacking humans. Orcas held in captivity are another matter. Killer whale attack

Can you imagine the whales' perspective?
What the heck is it and why is it swimming so badly? It doesn't appear to be injured. Weird!
