Did you vote today or have you already early voted? Was there a line or a long wait? Were there any issues at your voting location?
My son voted today. took a LOT of work over the last 6 months to convince him to vote. He's typically an Independent voter in a red state & has realized that often his vote doesn't really count because of that. I had to buy him lunch but he voted Democrat across the board today. He didn't have a problem with voting Dem, lunch was just to get him to actually vote. I early voted with my mom a couple of weeks ago.
There was a line of about 5-6 people but for our area, that's a lot. In the 9 years I've lived here, I've never had to wait in line behind even 1 person when voting. I asked & they said they already had 700 voters by 1 pm. Last midterm we didn't even have 700 people vote.
there were no issues at our location, but hearing of a LOT of problems in Gwinnett county. I live right on the county line between my county & Gwinnett.

There was a short line. We were there at the open and out 10 minutes after voting started, so not bad. There was a longer line when we left, but i expect it cleared up before long. We are a small area. When i took grandmother to her poll place there was no wait at all. Also small area. She was 178 at maybe 3:45/4:00...
There were literally 4 offices to vote for though, nothing else. Very quick and easy ballot.

Voted by mail. Sat down at the table with DH & a cup of coffee. We usually differ on some of tbe propositions, but this time we were both on the same page. Blue all the way. Mailed ballots later the same day.

I voted this morning before work. Line was not that long, I figure maybe 100 people in front of me. It took over an hour to actually get into a voting booth. Once I got into the polling place I saw why.
There were two people at the check in desk, but one would scan the license, turn to the other, and than the second would look it up on the paper list. It was a slow, inefficient process that basically meant that even with 6 poll workers (2 more at a desk with a phone for issues with registration) and two more to pass out the actual ballots, people were moving through one at a time. At one point the line was not moving, and all 12 voting booths were vacant.
CT doesn't have early voting.

I voted two weeks ago. Took about 15 minutes to get in. Once checked it, less than two minutes to vote. Easy.
Thank goodness for early voting.

Yes, I voted, several there but no "line"....I was in/out in about 10 min. including chatting with the poll workers since they are the same as always. I also delivered a loaf (sliced) of banana nut bread to them. But it was steady and at a time it is normally dead there.

I voted by mail. Everyone I know does it that way, except one person and its just because she likes the nostalgia of having to go in and vote....like before we had the mail in option.

Voted around 11:00 there were 2 people in front of me and plenty of available voting booths. In and out in about 10 minutes. It looked about the same as when I went to the primaries in August.
As of that time there were about 500 ballots scanned between the two scanners. Hopefully there were more voters through the day and people in the precinct voted early or by mail.

I voted last week. Went in at 6:25pm and was out by 6:35pm. I had a list of judges and other candidates I was voting for and had reviewed the ballot before I went in to vote.
I went last Tuesday nite. A group of people were leaving as I arrived. There were 8 voting machines. 6 people were voting. When I left all the machines were in use and 3 people were waiting to vote. Early voting closes at 7pm. The people running things said "business was brisk" since early voting started - especially in the late afternoons/evening.
Generally, about 3K people actually vote (I think an all time record number of voter was 5.5K (and that was for a local election referendum (there was a thing to give city employees lifetime health care benefits. Anyone who worked for the city for 1 year would be eligible/entitled to it, even if they quit. Yeah, that didn't pass.). My 'burb has a population of 50K.
So, I imagine the polling places are more of a ghost town then usual today- since perhaps the majority of 'regular' voters did so during early voting. (When I have voted on Election Day (usually between 730am and 8am - there are usually 15 to 20 machines, only a couple people voting and never a line.)

I voted this morning, during a break in my work day. No lines, in and out in about 10 minutes. If there'd been a line, I would've had to wait until the end of the day. I'm glad I didn't have to, I imagine it's probably crowded now since more people have gotten off work. I hope so, because that would mean people are actually voting!

I voted a little after 5:00 p.m. There was one person ahead of me, very short wait.

I voted by mail. Everyone I know does it that way, except one person and its just because she likes the nostalgia of having to go in and vote....like before we had the mail in option. Everyone I know as well. Our Book Club considered having an "election party" where we'd all sit around and discuss the issues as we voted, but now we have some members whose political views are anathema to most of us so we avoid politics. Ugh.

I showed up 10 minutes after 7AM and the line was probably over 30 people long (a lot for a midterm election). It took almost an hour to get through, mainly because one guy held up the line for 10 minutes! I don't know what the issue was, but it's like they couldn't find him in the register. I wanted to just yell out, "He's either in the book or not in the book - basically a yes or no question! You're holding up democracy here!!!" I still have no idea why they don't at least break the book up by alphabet...damn, this paper voting shit is lame! We're in the 21st century for crying out loud - I'll buy a thumb-print scanner and let me vote from home via the internet...sheesh

I was there 5-6 minutes before they opened the poll. 4th in line so as soon as they opened the doors I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Wife and son were a few people behind me.

There was real line. My county has made it very efficient. No longer have to line up by letter of last name and or precinct. Go up to any one of the 3 sets of people. Then there were plenty of voting machines available. Took maybe 7 minutes all together.
Campaign person tried to give me a democratic list of candidates on my way out back to my car. I tried to early since there are less campaign workers when the polls first open.

I voted last Tuesday. We walked in, checked in, got our ballots, voted and scanned them in. It probably took 10 minutes. Having to fill out the paper ballot was time consuming. WV has had electronic voting as long as I've been voting.

Keeping my butt out of jail and not giving the Strumpettes a chance to claim that CA results come from all those illegal voters on my behalf → no voting for me

I voted around 4:30 pm, so I beat the evening rush. There was one person in line in front of us. It took about 10 minutes to get my ballot because the poll workers had a script that they went through with each person. When I left there were about 20 people in line waiting to vote. I had considered making a statement by voting all democrat, but most of the offices didn't even have a democrat running. *shrug*

No waiting line at my kitchen table a couple weeks ago. The joys of living in an all vote my mail state. Dropped the ballot off at the secure box in front of city hall on my way to work, no stamp needed.

Some of the candidates on our ballot didn't have a challenger, but we had a Rep and Dem Coronor running against each other. I mean, come on! You're a coroner! Does it matter if you're a rep or dem in that job?

So there are Dems running for all the statewide offices and almost none of the local ones. I doubt I could have gone through with it anyway, since I have never voted a straight ticket and am am pretty old and set in my ways.

I voted around noon before my shift outside the polls. I was there noon to 8 with an hour break for dinner. I was also a poll watcher at the end of the evening.
I didn't have a line when I voted, but it was really busy in the morning. My friend who was poll working the morning shift arrived at 6:45 to set up signs and there were already three people standing in line (polls open at 7 am).
We have just under 900 registered voters in my ward, and we had 533 voters plus an additional nine absentee ballots. Turnout was incredible for a midterm election.
