Multiple people were killed in a shooting during a video game tournament at a shopping and dining complex in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Sunday afternoon. Preliminary reports say 11 people were shot, four of them fatally, at the Jacksonville Landing, according to a law enforcement official briefed on the incident. www.cnn.com/2018/08/26/us/jacksonville-madden-shooting/index.htmlThoughts and prayers.

Everyone gets a trophy because no one can ever be a loser. Then reality sets in the real world.

Well, it's blatantlly obvious the easy access to a gun wasn't the problem (cause that's never the problem). It's every American's right to be able to kill other American people.

Another mass shooting and crickets from the people screaming for a wall because of a single death. Wait for it. They'll offer "thoughts and prayers".

He recently bought two hand guns legally. Apparently, any whack job can buy a gun. Or two. Or 30.

The shooter was hospitalized not once, but twice, for mental illness. Still allowed to legally buy handguns.
What the FUCK?

Remember a few weeks ago when everyone in a store shot an armed robber? No one but the robber was hurt. Responsible gun carriers can hit the target.

It was a cop. They have never been noted for being our best and brightest. With only requiring a GED to be hired, you can't expect much. Some idiot, the cop, fired when he shouldn't have.

Possible a GED , however I suggest great majority of law enforcement folks have regular high school degrees, many former military service and so many taking courses at community colleges regarding law enforcement...leading to associate degrees and even advanced degrees...BS and for a few, even higher... In my town , it seems all officers are into fitness, working out...are buff...one would not want to get into it with them...gyms in town offer special memberships to police, fire folks...seems there is a fitness culture with in these groups. Those who enter into such professions, except in rare occasions, do so knowing they are going to be the first responders into dangerous situations...whether criminal or civilien...think 9/11....going into the towers while folks like me and u are going the other way as fast as we can, to get out... Your comment is a insult to those who choose these professions...personally I feel u should be ashamed of them ...but that is me.

Right now we are having a rash of rage related incidents mainly due to unusually hot, humid weather with a high pressure gradient. The police have developed rules over time to protect the police and limit the amount of oops mistakes on their sides. Every day, they risk their life simply by interacting with the public as a cop.

So since I have a college degree I'm more qualified to carry a gun than a police officer who has a GED? Look out world!

Oh you know.... 2nd ammendment trumps common sense With over 300 million guns out there now, if you suddenly out law guns,, do you actually think this man would not get a gun?? If you start shooting people because you lost on a video game, then kill yourself, That simply legally stop sell guns would have stopped him from buying one!! Murder is the ultimate illegal unlawful act, buying the gun legal or otherwise is secondary to that!

You were screaming for a wall because of ONE killing. But nothing can be done about mass killings. Why do you equate "common sense" laws with banning?
