I cannot believe they would blind side a contestant like that no matter who it is. That program is now tarnished.

um, Dane Cook wasn't a contestant. he was watching the show from his couch. is it shitty that he had to be reminded of this? sure. is he a celebrity whose life is reported as if the minutiae were important to the average Joes and Janes? unfortunately for him, yes.

I'm confused. I don't think Dane Cook was on the show; I think he just tweeted about it.

That's the price of fame. If I recall correctly they also had one, one time, about Dan Quayle (an ex VP that very few remember) and how to spell "potato e"... They have had many things that would be "bad memories" for quite a few famous people... but that "regular average people" would know and be able to relate to. ETA: did some searching and found the Quayle question was on Friday, January 9, 2009, and was " This politico "may be a contestant on... 'Dancing with the Stars'. He's... practicing the mashed potatoe" " for $1000. ( link to proof)

I watch Jeopardy most every night and will continue to do so. Celebrities put their business out there to the point that we know when they break wind, but golly gee whiz - give us privacy when it isn't to our liking?? Give me a friggin break.
Hate to admit but I didn't even know who Dane Cook is - so my learn something new for today and it isn't even 8am

I'm not bothered by the Dane Cook Jeopardy answer/question.
Having said that, the 'answer' could have been written a different way, not mentioning Cook's name, and still come up with a 'question', though all that would depend on the name of the game category.

I'm thinking this was more of a, silver lining, I'm now in a Jeopardy question. He wasn't a contestant, and I doubt he was even watching it live. I mean, unless he typically films himself watching tv. People probably blew up his twitter after it aired. He's a comedian, he made a funny little video reply.

By retweeting it, he is back in the public eye!

The video didn't work for me.
I misunderstood. I thought he was a contestant. Not a couch potato at home watching. It's now a nonissue other than it was in poor taste.

I'm a couch potato of the highest order from 6 to 7. Then I run marathons and climb mountains.

We barely have a good hill here! I actually know of a street in Memphis where there is a slight hill with homes on it. When it rains, the water actually runs down the hill. Other than that, we got nothin'. And if you want to have the most boring four hour non-stop drive, ride down I-55 from Memphis through the Mississippi delta area. Flat as a pancake and miles and miles of cotton and other farmland.

On Monday night there was a fashion question & the answer was Kate Spade. Then Tue. morning she is found having hung herself.
But these shows are taped well in advance too, so they had no idea.
