Inspired by a 530 mile road trip today and the sighting of a rare license plate in these parts, let's start a virtual license plate game.
I'll post the plate I saw and someone posts any license plate they see on summer travels that begins with the last letter of the previous plate posted. If you live in a state that begins with that letter, you are benched until a new letter is posted.
Let's get started: today, I saw for the first time in my 58 years on this rock a license plate from Manitoba (even had to explain where and what Manitoba is to YDS, LOL).
So, if someone sees a license plate that begins with the letter A on their summer travels, post it!

Does it count if you saw the license plate years ago, like 61, when I was six?
Saw a license plate on a car parked in front of my dad's dental office in Massachusetts with the owner inside getting drilled:
Nova Scotia.

I did. We even had an entire Catholic parish in my town where both Mass and instruction in the parochial school were entirely in French. License plates from Nova Scotia, Quebec, PEI, etc. were everywhere when I was a kid and are common during my many forays into Maine these days. But Manitoba? Nope. Oh, and we're looking for plates that start with "A" still, not "N".😜

Oh, and we're looking for plates that start with "A" still, not "N".😜 Springfield, Mass. had a good size French Canadian population but also a large Irish and Italian population too. Catholic grammar school (1950s) was all English in class. Though in first and maybe second grade, about 20 minutes a day was spent learning French. That didn't last long though. The license plate-I was six years old and impressed with a license plate from another country in front of my dad's office, even if the drive to Halifax is only a 12 hour drive. I was having a dyslexic moment or two when I read the directions. So I was thinking of aitocS avoN. Arkansas (I see as many of those plates here as I do Tennessee plates).

It is not uncommon to see Alaska plates here. What's weird, though, is that I started seeing a Hawaii plate in my grocery stores parking lot. The car wasn't anything you'd bother shipping from Hawaii.

😂. Manitoba must be empty. I just saw another car with Manitoba plates -- this one in Massachusetts. If both cars from Manitoba are currently on the East Coast, I hope one of them shut the lights off in Manitoba before they left. 😂

I'm sorry but you've really never seen a Manitoba plate before this year? WOW! I've seen them and I'm only 45. Of course, I've been seeing more Quebec and Montreal than I really need to. And Ottawa. And some asshole from Ohio who needs driving lessons.

I totally thought this was going to be all the different ones you hadn't seen before. A car with North Dakota plates was parked next to us at the fireworks and I wanted to find this thread to post.

I saw Montana yesterday. I think I've seen most of the states' plates here over the years, but that may have been a first.

So, if you have been overseas , can you use one of their plates? Germans use an abbreviation of their Kreis-city that issues the plate (Kreis is kind of like a county here) Ie... Neu followed by numbers would indicate the abbreviation of Neustadt a county seat in the Black Forest.
