It seems that the complete breakdown between the two political sides in our country and does not seem to be healing at all. For this I blame our present POTUS...I believe, as he said again in todays meeting with the Swedish PM , when questioned by reporters about the seeming caos of his administration, that he loves chaos...for him it's how he likes to govern, the back and forth, the infighting... The problem is it has spread to the populace of the country and I believe he loves that..it helps make his base stronger then it really is..thus keeping him in power or so he feels... That it allowed the Russians in the last presidential election to turn Americans against each other...by playing the race card, the religion card...is unimportant to our Donald...most important is not the country and its people...what is most important to him is himself...staying in power..in that office.. ================================= March 06, 2018 05:20 AM Updated March 06, 2018 07:40 AM "My greatest fear for the future of American democracy is the deep polarization of our society. A survey recently found that 11 percent of Americans would not want a family member to marry someone of a different race, but 40 percent would not want a family member to marry someone of a different political party. Last week, President Donald Trump’s approval rating among Democrats was five percent, but it was 80 percent among Republicans. Our rhetoric towards each other has become much uglier. I see this every week in the emails I receive in response to my columns in this newspaper. I have been writing opeds for over 30 years and am used to people sharply disagreeing with me. But the tone has changed. " =============================== "No form of government lasts forever. As we have seen in other countries, a democracy is there until it isn’t.
I am not being apocalyptic and forecasting the end of American democracy, but the intense polarization has me very worried. Not a rumor. It's media hyperbole. A bit more then that IMHO.... " "My greatest fear for the future of American democracy is the deep polarization of our society. This has been happening for some time. I don't think Trump is solely to blame. He is an example, not a cause. We let both parties get taken over by the extremes and now we are stuck with discourse.

Hmmmm...guess that was a bit to much for u..... ....................... You're starting with the premises again. I prefer to stick with the subject of your OP. Trying to make the subject about how fast I answer/or how, makes me disregard the rest of your thread. I'll be elsewhere. Take care. Bye...take care...be good...if not ...try careful.
