The man has said he'll not make mention of his doings till have a answer....won't give away information as former POTUS have done in the past, but then does as he just did....Supposedly NK has made overtures to talk to us. Why make that public if true? One does not have to be a foreign policy expert to know we are dealing with a strange leader here...I mean in this case the NK leader...very concerned with his image of being in control, a strong leader...[sound familiar] so to make such a request for talks public, basically suggesting that he is not as strong as he lets on to the world...all u do is possible p him off and he says forget the whole deal. Does our Donald really want to have a direct confrontation with this country...leader..Possible thinking a conventional response just might do it...get the message across...and if there is response by them...say just Tokyo, Seoul that would be acceptable for our Donald...casualties arising from that acceptable to him...forgetting that it might be our two strongest Asian allies being hurt.. Or just possible a attack on our own troops in Korea, about 38,000 there or g-d forbid a rocket or two against our country or say Guam or a possession.....no matter the consequences that NK might suffer....all this to distract the negative feelings that are expressed toward him...scary as can be for me. ============================== "President Donald Trump said Saturday that North Korea has recently sought talks with the United States and that he "won't rule out direct talks with Kim Jong Un," the North Korean leader. "Now we're talking. They, by the way, called up a couple of days ago, they said 'we would like to talk,'" Trump said. "And I said, 'so would we, but you have to denuke.'"That would mark the first such outreach from North Korea, which backed out of a potential meeting with Vice President Mike Pence at the Winter Olympics in South Korea last month. North Korea has vowed it will not give up its nuclear weapons, but the United States insists that any negotiations to lower tensions would have the goal of denuclearization." ======================================= "And I said, 'so would we, but you have to denuke.'"
That does not seem like one who is negotiating...sounds like one is putting pre conditions on before negotiating thus hoping other side just throws up their hands and walks away...not the greatest negotiating tool to be used if really seriouse in having a dialogue...More and more, I believe the Donald is looking for a confrontation here...taking the gamble that it would not turn into a nuclear one.. www.courant.com/nation-world/ct-trump-north-korea-talks-20180304-story.html
